Being a dawg is a certain type of person. That person needs to have such a caring and loving heart. Putting the person in need first is the key idea of being a dawg. Especially for the boys, brothers, and teammates, they should be a first priority. A dawg should go far as the nitty gritty for one of them. Doing the nitty gritty means even through the worst circumstance possible, giving that person all the care they need to get through is truly a dawg. He or she will always be there whenever and wherever. You would consider a dawg a part of the family. Even though a dawg can be a non-family related person, they should act pretty close to it. For example, in the movie Toy Story 2, Buzz Lightyear travels across town and also goes through a vent just to try and save Woody. In this movie, it shows that Buzz would do anything for his dawg, Woody. All the obstacles and the life threatening journey he went through to save him is shows how much Woody means to him. Dawgs are truly the people that will through it all, under any circumstance to make sure his or her other dawg is …show more content…
One example is a past experience from a basketball coach. The one quote he would always scream was, “Where my dawgs at?”. The reason he would use the word dawgs, is to get more energised and to play with more heart. It would get the team more aggressive and make us want to play harder. In addition, he would say we are dawgs because we would play for each other. We would play for each other because the team wasn’t just a team, it was a family. We looked at each other as actual blood-related brothers. With this team, when being a dawg, it comes with a brotherhood. We were always close. No matter what, we would be there for each other. On and off the court, everyone helps everyone out whether it’s at basketball, in school or even on social media. Another example is in the tv show, Friends. In one episode the three best friends Joey, Chandler and Ross went patrolling with an officer. Some person took the gun and shot it at all of the men. As that proceeded to happen, Joey jumped on top of Ross to make sure he was safe and the bullet didn’t hit him. That is a perfect example of a dawg. Joey made sure his best friend would not get hurt. He put himself in danger to help his dawg out. Dawgs aren’t just people you see everyday, they are the people that continue to do anything for you at anytime and any
Humans and dogs have been pals for what seems like forever. However, all relationships have to start somewhere, and this relationship is no different. From the beginnings of domestication to where we are today, how we have adapted dogs to our needs and how dogs have adapted us to their needs is a story that sounds fictional. This couldn’t be further from the truth. We call them Man’s Best Friend for a reason--we artificially created them to become our best friends, and they created the mannerisms we use today.
Are these dogs misunderstood? In reality a dog is a reflection of its human, they see you as a pack leader they are who you raise them to be no matter the breed. If you neglect your puppy by chaining them up outside their whole life or keep them in
First Friend: A History of Dogs and Humans, by Katherine Rogers, articulates the history of the relationship between dogs and humans. Wild Justice: The Moral Lives of Animals, by Marc Bekoff and Jessica Pierce, investigates if and how dogs exhibit morality. In both texts, anecdotes and observations are used to portray instances of dogs displaying cooperation, empathy, altruism, and, by extension, morality. Consequently, it stands to reason that dogs have a capacity for sociality, but how can the sociality of dogs be described? A dog’s capacity for sociality is the ability to form long term relationships with members of the same or other species. Dogs, in particular, dogs who hunt as well as dogs who play, are able to form long term relationships with humans and other dogs through trust, love,
I’ve always felt that animals are the purest spirits in the world. They don’t fake or hide their feelings, and they are the most loyal creatures on Earth and somehow we humans think we’re smarter. I chose this topic about the canine because, some of these canines risk their life’s to protect dog’s best friend.
A dog is just that, a dog, until someone comes along and makes it into a monster. A dog may be bred to do something, and can be trained to do an entirely different thing. For example, pit bulls have been bred to be nanny dogs. They are supposed to protect babies and ultimately care for them like they would their own pups. Some people have taken this instinct and turned it into something horrid.
Pit Bull-Beauty or Beast? Are pit bulls the best breed of dogs to keep around the house? Pit bulls are the majority of dog attacks that have been covered by news stations. The news coverage has made people really nervous about these animals. People are afraid to let these dogs be around their families and friends.
Should prairie dogs be protected or exterminated? People around the world are stating prairie dogs should be treasured. However, in the articles, “Denver’s Street-Smart Prairie Dogs,” and, “Prairie Dogs: A Threatened Species or Public Health Nuisance?” provides evidence that prairie dogs should be exterminated from urban areas because of their destructive impact on the environment and how because their population are thriving rapidly they are becoming an inconvenience to humans.
The ways in which we as humans represent our relationships with dogs are explored in Dog Love. Garber assumes on the role of a cultural critic through her book, commenting on the role and social value dog representations have in our society, as represented in various artifacts: novels, films, advertisements, etc. She believes that through dog stories we create the ideal human, assigning valued human characteristics to the canine protagonist. She states, “The dog becomes the repository of those model human properties that we have cynically ceased to find among humans” (Garber 15). In our society, we no longer turn to our fellow men and women for the embodiment of virtue; we instead look to “man’s best friend.”
All dogs, like humans, have the potential to either be nice or mean, respond well or poorly to the environment, and interact with others either up to par with social standards or not. The amount and type of socialization
...le. In some parts it doesn’t necessarily have to be a person it could be anything to a dog. Like said also while a hero leads by example a hero is also anyone who is confident in their ability to anyone else in need while then bringing positive action. During the attacks of 9/11 many working dogs with law enforcement and otherwise. He kept on going whether his peers wanted it or not. It showed that he wanted change for himself and he wanted changes from others later on. He was heroic because after he changed his ways he then helped others read and learn more knowledge so then they could excel and take the lead.
As princesses of the canine universe, Annie type dogs have a loving yet manipulative personality. An Annie dog assumes the role of queen bee. As leader of the pack, she keeps everybody in line. She dominates all of the other dogs, often by physical herding or malicious growl. Tough the tough façade she has created does not accurately represent her entire personality. There is a bit of a diva atop Annie dogs’ fur, especially when anger causes the hairs of her back to stand on end. But, she is not all diva. To other members of the canine breed, Annie types seem rough and tough, but whenever a familiar human is thrown into the dynamic, Annie dogs know how to suck up. Immediately, rolling over and showing off the pink exposed skin of the belly. They loose their rough edges and show off the sweet puppy that still remains beneath the growling front. Annie dogs become the epitome of loyal, loving pets. Being the lightest sleeper’s in the canine world, Annie types will awake at any noise, exemplifying how they protect familiar humans from creepy and questionable humans. They always come when called, even if it means leaving the hot trail of a chipmunk or bunny rabbit. Annie dogs fulfill the loyal and protective branches of man’s best friend’s quality list.
Service dogs can help disabled people with many different tasks. Service dogs when in public are often seen wearing a specialized vest or tag identifying the animals as a services dog when they are working. Service dogs are allowed in places that other pets are not allowed to go. Any dog can be a service dog. A dog does not have to be specially trained to be a service dog. There are many different kinds of service dogs. I am not talking about breeds, I am talking about the different jobs that service dogs do.
The Tibetan Mastiff is a large, impressive, powerful, robust dog, which has always been appreciated by breeders due to its good health and longevity. Tibetan Mastiff has an average lifespan of 16 years, but may also exceed this age. Hard to believe, this dog almost never gets sick. Most of the large dog breeds suffer from hip dysplasia, but in Tibetan Mastiffs this disease is extremely rare, still we coulndn’t say that the dog makes an exception from it. The fact is that there are very few reported cases of Mastiff dogs that suffer from this condition.

When I was nine years old my grandparents adopted a two year puppy named, maximilian. We, of course, called him Max. When we went to the kennel to pick out a new dog Max didn 't seem like an option. He was a scrawny little puppy tucked in the corner of the shelter. Max was a boisterous springer spaniel mix, and when we first got him he was black and white. Overtime his white fur was masked by black spots, similar to age spots, which made him uniquely mine. Max was suppose to my grandfathers new hunting dog when he was newly adopted. However, at the very first gunshot Max bolted and my grandfather spent a three hours looking for Max in the woods. After the hunting incident my grandfather wrote Max off and, he became my dog.
