Author Elizabeth Bowen write all of her stories based on real life situations. The Demon Lover a novel by Liz is the perfect example of an everyday thing, about how you can love someone so much even after death. Have you ever been in love to the point where everywhere you looked you seen your spouse dead or alive? d her dad dead in his bed,that right there made Liz wanna give up on life itself.Elizabeth inherited the estates that her dad owned,but she couldn’t really get it until she turned 18.Elizabeth was sent to live with some relatives after the death of her parents death,the relatives was also mean to her and called her names.The relatives scammed elizabeth out of her estates that SHE owned.When she turned 18 she was kicked out of the house she was living in with the relatives.(www.biography.com/people/elizabeth-bowen-9221).Mother and father death and the lack of a stable home,played a HUGE part of the person she became.Elizabeth set out homeless and all stayed in homeless shelters until she mysteriously found a way to move to Kent,England while there she attended a college named “ Downe House”,which she didnt stay very long due to insuffient funds.Elizabeth was now back a square one, homeless,no job,and no money.Liz met a handsome young man by the name of Alan Charles who was very nice to her, he offered her a place to lay her head and he fed her and all FOR FREE.Alan and Elizabeth ended up being very good friends.Alan helped get Liz into a nice college by the name of London County Council School Of Arts,where she began to write her short stories.Liz published her first collection of small stories and which she called “Encounters” which was published in 1923,the same year as Elizabeth and Alan’s wedding,their life
