People can be unpredictable and can become some of the most ruthless people on this Earth. It only takes one small event for a person from being an innocent child to becoming a drug kingpin. It may be the world that they grew up in, living in a country or city with so much violence can influence that society very differently and to them it is normal. It may also have something to do with money and power. All these acts can turn anyone into a violent, murdering drug kingpin. We hear in the news all the time how Mexico and other Latin American countries are having a problem with drugs, but people that that are all over the world. The most common forms of psychology most related to drug dealers would be developmental, environmental, and social psychology. Each category is different in its own way. Developmental psychology is studying the behavior of someone through the course of their life. Many drug dealers grow up differently, some live in a large city in the ghetto witness violence, gangs, and drugs. Others live in rural areas, don’t know how to read and write. The next type of psychology is environmental. Environmental psychology focuses on the surrounding area the subject is in. things that may affect how someone thinks can be large or small cities, manmade or natural environments. Not only does the surrounding area affect the mind social situation and family issues could affect how someone may think. The new drug that became very popular was cocaine. Cocaine is made of coca leaves native in South America, it numbs the brain by releasing dopamine. Dopamine is released from the brain when it reacts to something it likes, for example smells, tastes and feelings. In the case of cocaine the dopamine in the brain is constantly produced. According to the National Institute of Drug Abuse some of the effects of cocaine include happiness, hypersensitivity to light and sound, high alertness, and paranoia. The effects usually show up almost instantly but may last to a few minutes to hours depending how the drug is ingested. Overdosing can result in death which causes heart attacks, seizures, and blood
