Doctor Who has been around since 1963, just with the original series alone has seven doctors and approximately six hundred ninety-seven episodes in twenty-six years. Doctor Who also holds the longest television series and has a very large fan base. People that are sucked into the Doctor Who cult, are called Whovians. They are the die hard Doctor who fans that go to Comicon and dress as The Doctor, their companions, and even The TARDIS , which one might even see a Dalek or two. Doctor Who is a British television series that airs on BBC 1. The show is about a Time Lord whose home planet is Gallifrey, and The TARDIS which stands for Time and Relative dimensions in space. Please do not confuse this with blind optimism, thus please note that hope and blind optimism is two very different things. Blind optimism is the tendency to believe that is in our control. If University students work hard and study hard then they are going to have everything they dream of. Sadly with a heavy heart and full of melancholy. The Doctor and Amy would find out no matter their endeavours Vincent Van Gogh had still taken his life at the very young of 37 years old. In conclusion, Doctor Who might seem like just another cheesy British TV sci-fi. But for some, it is the very escape that they need from reality, due to God only what situations. The show also brings hope into play with episodes like The Girl in the Fireplace and Vincent and The Doctor. The doctor who rekindles's what has been lost due to teachers and parents. I.E the imagination killers, people who want their children to grow up to fast. This show gives people not only a new hope, but it also gives them back their once lost
