Argument #1: These series has a high ranking and got awards The Vampire Series almost has got 5 million viewers in U.S.A in just one episode. This means that people really loved and enjoyed to watch these series and I consider being one of them and hopefully you could become one. It only got 5 million viewers in just one episode and it ranks about 118- 160 (episode 1-8) unlike the other series like The Original. This only shows that it is one of the best series that you should really watch. According to what I’ve research 96% like this show. This is a ranking of all eight seasons from worst to best. As seen in the intense relationship developed between Laura and Carmilla, the vampire is “prone to be fascinated with an engrossing vehemence, resembling the passion of love, by particular persons” (105). For Carmilla, cruelty and love are inseparable (33). The taking of the victims’ blood for sustenance is a highly sexualized exchange of fluids from one body to another. The act of consumption is transformed into an illicit carnal exchange between the hunter and the hunted.

In Dracula, Bram Stoker portrays a clear battle between the “traditional woman” of the time and the “new woman.”. And yet, looks can be deceiving. Although the trendy -- and often skimpy -- clothing and bandied about pop-culture references of "Buffy" clearly mark the series as a product of a far different culture than that of the Victorian England of Dracula, the underlying tensions of the two texts are far similar than one might think. Dracula, the 1931 film directed by Tod Browning is loosely based upon the novel of the same name. Therefore both share similar characteristics but are distinct. The differences between the novel and film occur due to the cinematic choices made as well as the fact that the film is based off of not only the novel Dracula but also the 1924 play Dracula. Turning obscure actors into common names, giving others titles such as “Sexiest Man Alive” and giving even others the ability to secure roles in international movies. In the book Dracula the vampires would be killed by a stake to the heart, and then the removal of the head (411-12). In The Vampire Diaries however there was many ways to kill them. For example you could use a stake to kill them, but it would have to be a White Oak ash dagger or stake. Also instead of the decapitation you could also burn then to ash. However the easiest thing for the vampires to die from was a werewolf bite. To the vampires the werewolf bite was like a poison to them. Next in The Vampire Diaries they had some vampires called the originals. These vampires are the oldest, and they were the first to ever walk the earth. So if one of the originals were killed then everyone that they turned would also die along with them. This is because there blood has the DNA of the original. Finally we do not truly know how Dracula was created he was the very first vampire. Then over the many years he was alive he made new vampires by feeding off people. Humanity has always been fascinated with the allure of immortality and although in the beginning vampires were not a symbol of this, as time passed and society changed so did the ideas and perceptions surrounding them. The most important thing to ask yourself at this point is 'What is immortality?' Unfortunately this isn't as easily answered as asked. The Merriam Webster Dictionary says immortality is 'the quality or state of being immortal; esp : unending existence' while The World Book Encyclopedia states it as 'the continued and eternal life of a human being after the death of the body.' This series was such a phenomenon because it is from the vampire’s point of view and shows all of the good and bad things about being a vampire. It also exhibits how a vampire feels about living for eternity.
Outlander Season 2 is underway and after the premiere last week, fans are more excited than ever about the direction the show is heading. According to the Huffington Post, Claire and Jamie are in for a wild ride during Season 2, as fans have already seen that Claire returns to the 20th century and reunites with her first husband, Frank, all the while longing for her lost love, Jamie. During Outlander Season 2, fans will see that Claire and Jamie are still very much in love, but after the brutal rape and torture that Jamie suffered at the hands of Black Jack Randall, things just aren't the same between the husband and wife.
