On my 5th birthday, I was given the chance to go to Disneyland. Obviously I said yes, and we went for about three days just my Dad and I. We had went to the Disney Toy Store, and I had saw a little red car from Disney Pixar’s Cars. It was Lightning Mcqueen, the main character of the movie. I asked my dad if they had this car as a radio controlled vehicle, he said “I don’t think that they would have r/c here, sorry son.” I will be honest, I did make a scene in the store because they didn’t have what I wanted. Now because I could not get the r/c car, he got the Lightning Mcqueen as a 1:57 scale diecast vehicle. I loved it. This car was, and still is my favorite toy that I have gotten from anyone in the world. It was so cool, and I would build a track out of old Hot Wheels track pieces, and I would put Lightning Mcqueen on the track and it would go super fast at the beginning, but then it would slow down, and then speed up again when it hit the finish line. It was doing this because of a motorized track piece. Anyway, why this car is so important is because, it helped me through very tough times. It helped me by taking me away from all of the negative things that had come towards me, and gave me the power to feel happy again. This car was also my only form of entertainment …show more content…
When my mom and dad got into a divorce, Lightning Mcqueen was the only thing that kept me from bursting out into tears. It was one of the hardest things that I had to deal with in my life. It was a very sad time for me because when this happened, I didn’t see my dad for a long time. Now all I can do is hope that my dad will become as successful as he was when I was 8 years old. I say this because my dad lost his car when a drunk driver hit his car and totaled it, and with that, he lost his job, house, and any form possible to pay child support. Now he is living with my Grandma and Papa in Oildale. I only see him two to five times a month
Two brothers, Lyman and Henry, had very little in common other than their blood. One day they decided to catch a ride to Winnipeg. The car was introduced while these two were doing some sightseeing in the city. They spotted the red Oldsmobile convertible. Lyman, the storyteller, almost made the car a living thing when he said, "There it was, parked, large as life. Really as if it were alive." (461) The brothers used all of the money they had, less some change for gas to get home, to buy the car. The car's significance was the bond that it created between the brothers. The purchase of the vehicle brought these two together with a common interest: the car. Once the bond was formed, the brothers became inseparable, at least for a while. The boys spent the whole summer in the car. They explored new places; met new people and furthered the bond that the car had created. When they returned from their trip, Henry was sent to war. He left the car with Lyman. While Henry was gone, Lyman spent his time pampering and fixing the car. Lyman saw the car as an extension of Henry. Lyman used the car to maintain an emotional bond with his brother who was thousands of miles away.
In 1886 when the first car was ever made and replaced horse drawn carriages, they were the toys of the rich. Today, cars are made as the toys of the world. The era of cars has revolutionized the way the people get from one place to another. Henry Ford became the creator of the first car which he called the Ford Model T. Though there was nothing special about it to today’s human eye, back in the day it was what changed how everybody transported themselves from place to place.
Disney in World War II Despite his career’s rough start in the 1920’s, Walt Disney has become a household name, known for films such as Bambi and Peter Pan. The cartoonist’s career and company survived many eras of American history; this included the second World War, a harsh time where everyone seemed to be working and living for the war. During World War II, Disney contributed to the war effort through the creation of military insignias, aircraft nose art, and propaganda films. Throughout World War II, Walt Disney Productions created a total of approximately 1,200 military emblems.
I love spending time with my family on vacation. I got of the plane and I rode a bus that drives to your hotel so you can do whatever, explore the parks,go swimming. But first we went to our room after we checked in. we stayed at the Polynesian resort.I was so excited to see the parks and all of the cool decorations.
really neat car that not many other people had. Than the next thing I would do
Toy Story is a series that has just been put to an end after its third installation, Toy Story 3. These feature length films were successfully launched to public viewing by Walt Disney Pictures and were produced by Pixar Animation Studios. What can you expect when two gigantic firms work together? It is truly a blast. The success of the Toy Story is a huge testimony that can attest this claim.
Disney Pixar’s Cars was released in the spring of 2006. Six years old at the time, my twin brother, Thomas and I saw the movie five times in theaters; we even took our grandparents to see it while visiting them in North Carolina. Once the DVD was released, we watched the movie together on countless road trips. My family could and still can quote entire scenes from the film. As young children, Thomas and I loved Cars because it was funny. Mater, a rusty pickup truck and loyal friend to main character Lightning McQueen, reminded us of our dad with his humor and mischievous tendencies. We liked to see how every living creature in the film was some sort of automobile: the bugs were Volkswagen Beetles, the cows were tractors, and the mechanic Luigi’s
He told us about all the great rides and how he had to go on It’s a Small World with a fellow Marine. He said all the boats were full of families or with couples in love, and there he was stuck in a boat with another Marine. That very day he swore that he would come back some day and take his wife and family back to Disney Land and ride It’s a Small World. At that time Disney World hadn’t been completed. Dad thought he would be returning to California. Since then Disney World has been completed and is located in Florida which is a lot closer of a drive for us since we live in Tennessee.
Every summer news stations across America report the tragic death or terrible injuries of young children and pets because they were left in hot cars. According to CNN, an average of about “37 children die each year in hot cars” as well as thousands of pets. Though these horrible stories touch our hearts, the problem still continues. While the parents/ adults are to blame for these terrible events, I believe that there must be something we can develop that will help to prevent these incidents. Along with solving this horrible crisis, the product will make people’s lives easier as it will keep their car cool during the hot summer months. The product would be placed in cars on the window and would cool the car down when it got over a certain temperature.
The author is writing this for those people who also think like him who see a car as more than just something you use but something you love and people who choose to turn the car of their dreams into something they love and pride. This artifact appeal to pathos because in the film after Eric builds his dream car and races it in one of his favorite races the Targa Tasmania Rally, during his 3rd day of racing he loses control and crashes the car off the side of the road and ends up totaling his car he just put all his heart into and couldn't continue the rest of the race and finish which broke his heart because of the fact that it was his dream to race his car there and it was all over. It also appeals to ethos in the way that Eric Bana has been racing and driving ever since he was just old enough to see over the steering wheel. It helps us see how even with all the skill and money put into a car, it really matters on the driver and their ability to control the car to win races and he has been doing it ever since he could and it has proved him to be a great driver. It appeals to logos because of the facts he uses when talking about the car and the specifications of the car for racing and how those features let him be able him to increase his race times and driving abilities.
A model is a representation of a physical, structural, or conceptual object or concept. It is important to bear in mind that a model is not the object or concept itself, it is merely a representation of it. It is evident that there will be some noticeable differences or deviations between the object or concept and the model representing it, this will affect one’s understanding . A model is generally used to simplify the complex theory or object. An object would be simplified, and distorted, into a model to be used for symbolic positioning or to show a systematic process. The knower would only be confused if they were to try to comprehend the original complex object, therefore the simplified form of the object facilitates a better and faster
My father was always there for me, whether I wanted him to be or not. Most of the time, as an adolescent trying to claim my independence, I saw this as a problem. Looking back I now realize it was a problem every child needs, having a loving father. As hard as I tried to fight it, my dad instilled in me the good values and work ethic to be an honest and responsible member of society. He taught me how to be a good husband. He taught me how to be a good father. He taught me how to be a man. It has been 18 years since my father’s death, and I am still learning from the memories I have of him.
The style and value of the car had slightly developed leading to an increase in the usefulness of the car. This topic is worthy of study because there are many teens that want a car today, but don’t understand the hassle of maintaining a car. Cars are not the only available and reliable form of transportation. We just desire the car over all other forms of transportation. It was just a desire then as well too. It was nothing more or nothing less than a desire. Every man desired to have a better car than the person next door to them. It was a competition. It is a piece of material that grew to the heart of

One of the most important advantages of owning a car is convenience. It allows you the freedom to go anywhere you want whenever you want. There is no hanging about waiting for public transport to turn up in potentially bad weather.
