From the figure 4 below, it can be noticed that India with a score of 48 is a perfect mix of both individualistic as well as collectivistic societies. The collectivist side of the society explains the want of the individuals to belong to large social groups and are often affected by the opinions of their families, friends etc. The acceptance of the group is important to an individual and the hiring process is mostly by relationships and connections. The individualistic side of this society is by the spiritual belief of their religion Hinduism, that one is responsible for their own deeds and this will have an effect on their rebirth. On the other hand, Austria has a score of 55 in terms of this cultural dimension, making this country individualistic society. Commonly known for loosely knit societies with individuals caring only for their immediate families and themselves. These types of societies most often have contract-based work and hiring that are mainly based on merit.
