Deere Training Camp Reflection

During my time at Deere Training camp I learned a lot and grew my network by meeting many new people. The experience is something I will never forget but there was also a lot of work put in to make the event a success. The first thing I had to do when I got to Orlando was to complete validating and setting up our class. The challenging part about this was making sure we are presenting our message the way that was instructed by our superiors. This really helped me grow because I was directly involved in this process. I gave a 20 minute presentation 16 times a day and the conclusion four times, I got use to public speaking very fast! The two stations I did during the dealer waves were about the same product but delivered a completely different message. In one class I talked about the ease of use and comfort of our mowers and the other was about strength and longevity. It was a good mix for me to have and had me learn that much more about our products. I also think it was very beneficial for me to give our conclusion. This helped me a lot with my public speaking because I stood in front of the entire group and tried to get them engaged in what I was saying. It was very important for us to get every dealer question answered the correct way or follow up with them if we could not find the answer. This is where my studying came into play so I was confident and precise when I was asked questions. If I did not know the answer to a question I would find someone that did or take the contact information from the dealer and follow up with them once I talked to a product specialist. I also got to meet multiple field team members that I will continue to talk with throughout my career. The ones that were in my station and the others I met were all very willing to talk and answer my questions. I got offered to follow some of them in the field and would love to take
