District Performance event “It is utterly impossible for me to build my life on foundation of chaos, suffering and death.” Concentration camps were where the Germans put jews into. Internment camps are where Americans put Japanese into. Yes, the concentration camps and the Japanese internment camps are essentially the same because they were treated poorly, their rights were taken away and they were both supervised by the military. They got their rights taken away for a few reasons. One of them is they both had a certain religion/race into a certain area. The Germans put the jews in concentration camps and the Americans put the Japanese into internment camps. Next they both had their rights taken away from them. The jews and the Japanese did because they could not speak up for them against the government. Lastley their freedom of speech got taken away. It got taken away because they could not say their opinion and not do everything the wanted to. That is how they got their rights taken away. …show more content…

The Jewish people did not get little or no food and the Japanese got very bad food. The also got treated bad because if they wanted to move cities or go to get new clothes they could not. The jews had to basically stay in the same room or the same hallway, and the Japanese Americans could go to different rooms but they could not move cities. Lastley they got paid none or barely anything. The Jewish people got paid a piece of bread if they did a whole work day and the Japanese Americans got paid very minimal. That is why both of the Jewish people and the Japanese Americans were treated
