I chose to compare and contrast the biblical worldview with the Islamic worldview. First, I would like to give a brief history as to how the Islamic worldview started; it began when Mohammad was born in 570 AD. and in 650 AD. The Quran was created (Hindson, Caner. 277-280). The Islamic worldview is defined as the complete belief in the one and only (monotheistic) God “Allah” and they believe that the term Islam means “to surrender” and it has nothing to do with peace (Hindson, Caner. 279). The term “worldview” (from a biblical worldview) according to our text and also in my opinion is that we choose to see the world and process the information depending on our own distinct personalities (Hindson, Caner. 498-499). Many people have their own beliefs as to what is right and wrong and how they should live but in my opinion God gave us the Ten Commandments to live by and guide us day by day (Exodus 20:2-17). As humans we fall short of these commandments every day but we have the opportunity to be forgiven and sin no more. I find this to give me great peace and happiness because I know at the end of the day I am forgiven them and saved by God’s grace (1 Peter 3:8-12). However when it comes to the Islamic beliefs, morals are very important and they concern every aspect in a Muslim’s life. They believe that they have to be good and pure. They have to stay away from evil and not even think bad thoughts. Muslims have to keep a healthy pristine moral life (Morality and Ethics in Islam, 2006-2015).
Lastly, there’s the question of our destiny; is there life after death and what will happen to me when I die? I know that sometimes we all think about what happens after we go to be home with our Lord and Savior but as for me, I know that I will never truly die that that I will live on forever with my Father in Heaven. So the answer to this question is yes I believe there is life after death because if you believe in God you are forever his child and you will live an everlasting life.
