Communications Technology is an umbrella term that includes any communication device or application, radio, television, cellular phones, computer and network hardware and software, satellite systems and so on, also there are various services and applications associated with them, such as videoconferencing and distance learning. Comparing the impact in people’s lives over the last decade is like comparing night and day. It has made socialising with friends a lot easier and cheaper. It has added a great deal to what we do in our free time, and how we now share our personal life with the internet. The internet is one of the main ways we now socialise simply because it’s easy and basically free, whether it be the internet on our phone or via the internet on computers/ laptops we can talk to our friends wherever we are through, Facebook , Twitter, MSN, Blogs, Skype are all methods of how we socialise with friends online. The rapid increase in the use of computers is having an enormous impact on our lives. Our modern way of living simply could not exist if this modern technology were removed. Communication Technology has a very great impact on both public and private life. In public life communication technology serve more advantages than disadvantages, in the sense that we can find old school classmate friends, families through social media or online game sites, we can even find suitable partner through dating sites. Communication Technology has impact our life’s, families, business, and education in many ways it helps today's busy families stay connected with each other. Parents can check in with kids at all times to see where they are and what they are doing. Imagine today's family gathered in the kitchen for dinner, maybe the TV is on, a laptop on the kitchen counter and everyone has their phone with them. Mom and dad are keeping an eye on emails even though the work day is technically over. So this family is physically together, but they are not totally focused on and paying attention to each other. They are at least partially attentive to a ping or a beep indicating that there is a new text message, email or missed call. It has affected business, work is no longer something we do at a certain time
