First, I would like to thank my mom for her unconditional love and support. She has kept me on the straight and narrow and has pushed me in the right direction whenever I needed her help. My mom has always supported me in athletics as well as in school. She has always told me that you have to be a student before an athlete and that you cannot play a sport in college if you cannot get into college. When I began to look for colleges that I could play lacrosse at she always reminded me that I had to be at least a two hour flight away and if I went too far north she would not visit me and I would have to fly back to Texas to visit her because, she gets sick from being on a plane for more that a couple hours and it is too cold in the north. Without his love and support I would not be the player or person I am today. I have learned almost everything that I know from my dad. He always helped me with my homework and always encouraged me to go throw the football or work on lacrosse to get better. He taught me how to become a competitor and that giving up is never an option. When I first started playing for a summer travel team he was always there supporting me. Since he never played lacrosse he had no idea what the rules were or how it was supposed to be played to he never really ranted about specific things to get better at, he just always said to work hard and to always give one-hundred percent.
