Cogswell College Application essay

I would like to take a quick moment to thank all the staffing at Cogswell College for giving up time out of their busy schedule to

review my application and hopefully give me a chance to contribute to the continued success of your wonderful institute that

Mrs. Fey Nazarian did an outstanding job informing me about. Now to tell you just a few things about myself and how I became

interested in Game Design Engineering. I have always had a passion for crafting almost anything from the ground up and

afterward being able to look back at the whole experience knowing what worked and what failed so I could apply it to my next

project in hopes that I will always be able to move forward in a positive manner. Now, if you combine that with a great interest

in gaming that I have accumulated since I started this hobby turned hopeful career path, and I feel it only makes sense to

pursue a degree in this field. To be exact it was about five years ago when I really became interested in the actual design,

engineering, and overall inner workings of video games; once I started realizing all the amazing different modifications people

where able to put out to the general public it really made me want to get involved. As a student I have learned that I benefit

greatly in a more hands on atmosphere, so as you can imagine discovering this college and learning more about it is a very

exciting experience for me. I have always done very well in any class I have thrown myself into; using Basic Law Enforcement

as an example, through out most of the class I maintained a 3.9 GPA up until the passing of my beloved Grandfather Daniel

West in which I talked to the school about and they agreed to let me miss a couple of classes as long as I ...

business. When I get out of college I hope to already have a offer for stable job at a development team; I'm not going to

simply assume that I will be given a one in a life time opportunity to work for one of my dream companies but that doesn't

mean that I will not shoot for the stars and do everything I can possibly imagine to give me the best chances at it. I

understand that not everyone gets to do exactly what they want to or work with the company they want to work with. I know

that Cogswell will be a huge step for me if not the most important one into getting into the game development industry and I

can only hope to receive an opportunity to show you what I am capable of with the right direction and education. As Mrs. Fay

Nazarian told me, this is my golden year... and I plan on proving her right. 3/9/2014
