I wanted to do my report on child abuse because so much stuff goes on in different households. What is exactly child abuse ? Child is abuse is neglecting your child or putting them in difficult situations. Children look up to their parents as role models and if they feel not wanted or if they see their parent getting beat on than they may be upset. Sometimes children often take their anger issues out on other people because of their problems at home. There are different types of child abuse; Physical, Sexual, Neglect, Emotional, and Psychological abuse.
Physical abuse occurs when a child is injured or is harmed from someone else. Sexual abuse is when a child is exposed to sex or participating in sexual activities. Emotional abuse is when a …show more content…

The child may be afraid to tell what is really going on so they avoid questions. Children who are abused usually separate themselves from their friends, you may notice changes in their behavior, depression, lack of supervision, attendance, attempt suicide, attempt to run away, and defiant behavior.
Children are most of the time afraid to talk about their problems because they may be taken away from their family, or they're afraid of what their parents will say.

Parents who neglect their child most of the time doesn't care for their child. They don't notice anything wrong with the child. They dent any problems that are going on at home. Sometimes parents constantly blame their child for all of their problems and don't realize that they're hurting their child. Parents may limit their child friends or contacts with others.

If a child is neglected than the law have to get involved to find out if the child is in a safe environment. Child abuse is a serious crime and you can serve a lot of time for it, and even have your child taken away from you forever. I think if a parent or caregiver don't want their child anymore than they should put them up for adoption or send the child to stay with someone else in the family. I also think the parent or caregiver should be in bigger trouble because of all that they put the child
