Leadership is the combination of traits, behaviors, attitudes, values, and beliefs. Personality plays a pertinent role in the type of leadership style an individual will depict. I received the personality trait of virtuoso (ISTP). According to my results, the virtuoso loves to explore and examine his or her environment and have difficulty at keeping to one task at a time. Virtuoso’s, also, have a tendency to lend a helping hand and share their experiences in hopes that it will benefit others around them. The Virtuoso personality is very uncommon; totaling about five percent of the population. It is especially rare for females to have this personality, but those that do are predominantly classified as tomboys by the society. Most individuals with this personality are difficult to predict. They are energetic and optimistic; cheerful in what they do and hardly get stressed out and prefer to go with the flow. This character is great when working in an organic organization and providing employees with support and energy needed. ISTPs are imaginative, but yet still practical. People with virtuoso personalities like combining spontaneity with logic and can switch approach to modify different challenges. Managers with this personality are flexible and resourceful; they are great in crises, but relaxed. They relish living in the moment and do not mind getting their hands dirty in order to accomplish their goals. Virtuoso leaders are able to successfully lead their subordinate during the time of crises and helping them to settle in during a time of change (Leadership style and bases of power, 2009).Virtuoso leaders are good at prioritizing and this is beneficial to their subordinate: They are able to provide employees with a clear goal set that will help them remain productive.
