Why is Cato running straight past us? Oh, what is that chasing him? What are these strange creatures chasing Cato? Oh no, if they are chasing him that means they will chase me too. I need to run, but I won’t make it. I just won’t, my leg is too bad. But I have to try. I must try for Katniss. The girl I love and have for many years and I finally built up enough courage to tell her. Dammit, I can't lose her now! Not now. Not with everything we’ve been through. But the pain. If only I could stop the pain in my leg. I can't, so I must run as fast as my legs are willing. What is Katniss doing way ahead of me? Has she forgotten about me? Surely not. Thankfully she turned back to see where I was. Is that why she turned back? To look for me? Yes of course it is. I am so exhausted but I hear Katniss scream out to me to climb. Don't look back, just keep moving forward, almost there. Come on legs, don't stop on me now. Wow, I’m on top of the cornucopia. I’m so puffed. I can hardly breathe. I just need to lay here and get my breath back. Who grabbed me? Oh no its Cato. He's gained his strength back. I can’t let him kill me. I need to help
