Everything was going great at Oakville farm, I mean everything was normal and okay how it should be if you don’t count that the fact Donna came home late last night. She came home around two or three o’clock in the morning when it was pitch black outside, and believe me this isn’t the first time it ever happened either, maybe it’s not that big of a deal to you but to me it is, Donna here is the farmer’s daughter. While Mr. Salem is away she’s the one in charge of us,and because she’s the one in charge of us we haven't eaten in two days! Mr. Salem always made sure we were cared for, and was handled with love but , Donna on the other hand she just doesn’t care. we kicked out Ms.Donna . She came in one night so drunk that she forget we even existed. It was the perfect time to put an end to her , we didn’t kill her we just gave her some anastazia and just like that she was out like a light. We tied her up and threw her in the back of the barnyard . Ever since we got rid of Ms.Donna everything has been going great for us , we’ve been eating more frequently. We’ve established one rule and one rule only and that was to not in anyway feed Ms.Donna , we have to treat her like she treated us . It had been declared that we all are leaders and we don’t want to live in a world with just one leader because then it would be unfair for just one animal in specific to run the whole entire thing. We had everything we wanted , we have a car which Wanda was very excited about in fact she drove just like she always wanted to do . “ Wanda turn towards the right” . “ I know that Henry.” said Wanda . “Wanda turn left ! Avoid the barnyard, she awake and has been for a couple days.” “I can’t get the car to stop Henry the brakes aren’t working !” Just like that our world crumbled into pieces , Wanda crashed the car into the barnyard and Donna was free at last. Ms.Donna had been in that barnyard for months going without water or food of any kind we didn’t and still don’t know how exactly she survived all of that. I’ve heard stories about people and how most don’t even survive weeks without water or food,

    Pignati's kids, they had to be extra careful that their actual parents didn’t hear what happened or they would have both been in a lot of trouble. They made the decision that they were still going to go to his house every day after school to clean it up and make sure no one broke in since they thought they were the reason he was in the hospital. One day while they were at Mr. Pignati's house they decided that they were going to clean everything up. To begin with, Lorraine asked John to take the trash out or do the dishes while she cleaned everything else but he was acting infantile and wouldn’t do any cleaning. After a little bit of cleaning Lorraine made dinner for John and herself when John came up with the fantastic idea of having a party with a bunch of friends at Mr. Pignati's house. That night when they invited all of their friends, they had a bunch of tiny hors d’oeuvres and alcohol for all of the kids. All of the smells mixed together made the house smell very putrid that night. The only problem was that the night didn’t go exactly as planned. People who weren’t suppose to show up, showed up, pigs from the pig collection were being broken, Conchetta's dresses were being tried on and ripped by the girls, people were rolling around the house with roller skates, most importantly, Mr. Pignati came home from the hospital early with the house in the state that they left it. They invited the whole family for a Thanksgiving dinner at their new home. It had been five years since the death of Dad and she was now able to move on and find a closure for herself. She was strong enough to see her family which deeply reminded her of Dad. In contrast, Jeanette was now able to think of Dad in happiness. “We raised our glasses. I could almost hear Dad chuckling at Mom’s comment in the way I always did when he was truly enjoying something” (288). At dinner with all her family, she expresses her memories of her Dad in happiness, in which demonstrates her transition from grief to acceptance.
