V. Objective
Briefly, The objective should be able to determine if hiring new people to the salesforce can improve the works of Sal Clermont and Susan Jones and the performance of the company, because this will tell us if the courses of action to be chosen or recommended in the latter part of this case analysis was the best course of action .
Having new to be able to cope up with the increasing demand for their products is also an objective that needs to be addressed because as a growing company progress the responsibilities and work load increases. It is also stated in the Case that there are a dilemma of whether to hire employees internally or externally, but the case said that it is not limited to only those two option rather there are
Instead of focusing on increasing sales for the company Sal Clermont and Susan Jones might be held up by training and giving instructions to the newly hired employees not to mention the monitoring of everything they do in the task given to them.
Also, the company might not be able to afford hiring completely all of the employees and then training them since every employee is subject to their own capabilities and will likely have a difference in the costs of employment.
ACA2: Solely Hiring External Employees.
Outsourcing employees may be a possible course of action. Getting employees from other companies or industries with the same line of work might be able to help increase in productivity and decrease the possible work load given to 2 people because it will be evenly allocated for each employees.
Training and monitoring will also be at a minimal level since these people are already accustomed to the working environment and flow of tasks the only thing that needs to be secured is that they are able to embody the company into their work.
Having a few outsourced employees that have a considerable experience in the same industry or in being a part of sales force may help the senior management in completing the work left by senior sales force members as they focus on the internal member that have no to little knowledge about the industry. Also, training outsourced employees from different industries only need a little training since they have been part of sales forces from different companies and the only difference are the nature of business that needs to be tailor-fitted to the new industry. Connection of outsourced employees are also a valuable asset since they can be the bridge for the Satin Organic Product to venture to a broader and wider business.
