A boy in the woods with nothing but him and the elements is a surprising way to relax. It’s not all relaxation the because before you camp you must set up the tent the fire and the food. After that relaxing comes naturally but if you don’t allow time for it you will wish you hadn’t gone. Watching the awesome wildlife from the little bugs under the rocks and tiny song birds to the 200lb bucks and eagles that travel at 80 miles per hour. Wilderness is a highly idealized concept in today’s society – we simply put it on a pedestal and choose to admire it as we see fit. Nature and wilderness are considered distant and remote concepts, separate from our everyday, civilized lives. By approaching the natural realm in this sense, we simply detach ourselves from our origin, which leaves us to fantasize about the great outdoors as an escape from the artificial creations of our everyday life. This desire to escape our artificial lives has lead to the construction of locations such as national parks, which merely appear to be the natural world, yet in reality they are simply just facets of the modernized world we have created.
One can keep their fire going by using dry pieces of wood. A way to get water is by drinking out of rivers, ponds, and lakes, just make sure the water is not a dirty/mossy because that could give a person a sickness. Have you ever wondered how some athletes have gotten so good at a certain sport? Have you ever thought about what they did in order for them to get this good? For some the answer is simple; workout and train. But for others the answer is different; the use of performance enhancing drugs such as steroids. There are some people that argue that steroids should be legalized and allowed in professional sports. Other people argue that steroids should not be allowed. Today I am going to state my opinion and justify my reason. Steroids should not be allowed in professional sports because it can be very dangerous to the athlete’s health, it is a way to gain and un-fair advantage and it can be dangerous in both social and physical aspects.

If you don’t have time to boil it try to find the water from a fast moving stream or river the filter it through as much cloth as you can. Then poke a small hole in the bottom of it and put a container of some sort under it. Or you can dig a pit a small pit and put a can in the center with a straw coming out of it to the top of the pit. Homeless people constitute a demographically diverse population, and the situation is a critical problem in United States. The homeless are known as “the wondering poor”, “sturdy beggars”, and “vagrants”. This condition often occurs due to poverty, but this is only one of many reasons a person can be homeless. In addition to poverty, homelessness occurs as a result of drugs, mental illness, disasters such as hurricanes, or even domestic abuse. It is not a criminal activity.
I am the type of person who likes to get involved within my community. I engaged myself into this particular program where we mentor young woman and sometimes young men on empowering their youth on making change in their community for the better. Twice out the year we go out and feed the homeless and spread wisdom among them. Every day I would give a homeless person money or change I may have. Being invited to a friend’s house the other day, I began to get excited about the journey through the woods to their cabin.
