It was a normal day when at around 9:30pm, a drunk driver in a white Ford Escort did not stop at a stop sign and hit a young 16 year old driver. The young driver, Brett Gilmore said that an adult pulled him out of his car, called 911 and left. After this Brett went to the hospital and he broke his knee,cut his lip open, and a broken arm. Brett sued the driver and got $10,000 from it. The main thing in the aftermath was him learning to walk again because he couldn’t walk. So he was in a wheelchair for a while and then him and his friends were being dumb so they pushed him down the stairs in the wheelchair and he hurt his leg again. He should have been able to walk within like a month but after the incident he had to wait two months till he learned. He was in the hospital for about 3-4 months it was rough for him but he didn’t really mind it. So when he got out he really didn’t know what to do. He couldn’t really work where he used to because it required back breaking work, he worked for my dad's construction job. so he had to go to Sonic the fast food place for like two months. He eventually left and went back to school which was kind of awkward for him because he was so far behind, but he did graduate. …show more content…

Nowadays he doesn’t really do much, he just works all the time then comes home and plays video games or works on his car, whatever he feels like doing. He said once that he was very thankful that he didn’t die. He always loved like cars and stuff, so he’s always working on it and trying to make it cooler. He also works part time at a auto body shop. He moved out too because his jobs pay well and allowed him to rent his own house and stuff. He plans to go back to South Carolina though because he just loves it down there and he also had a nice job there that said they have the door open if he wants to go back there. Bretts overall personality is like Jeff Dunham's, he’s funny. And he’s just always fun to be
