We shall start off with the Chinese view of the creation of the world. Their story begins with the heavens and Earth being one and everything being in chaos. A man name Pan Gu was being carried in a big black egg, which the universe was just like. Pan Gu was stuck inside of this black egg for eighteen thousand years, and that’s the point when he awoke from his long slumber. From within the egg, he felt suffocated, so he took up a broadax and smashed his way out of the egg! This cracked the egg into and the light parts of the egg floated up and formed the heavens, while the cold parts of the egg stayed below to form the Earth. In the middle of all of this ruckus was Pan Gu, who stood on the Earth and had his head literally in the sky!

The sun was to rule over the day and the stars and moon were to rule over the night, with light being the dividing factor between light and darkness. Thus, the fourth day came to an end. The fifth and six days were where animals and humans, in that order, came into existence. The fifth day was where animals of all kinds, ranging from sea animals to flying animals, came to exist and the sixth day is where the humans, rulers over the animals and made to be in God’s image, came to be! The seventh day was when God was very pleased with his work and decided that the universe was complete. Because of this, he blessed the seventh day and made it out to be a special day, just as it was for him!
Finally, we have the Norse version of the creation of the world. In the beginning, there was nothing but an endless chasm and void called the Ginnungagap. It was bordered by Niflheim, a place of ice, and Muspelheim, a place of fire. The fire and ice of these two places met and dropped a single drop of water, which was the first being named Ymir!
