"Bleu Tonnerre" Shows the Inner Struggle We Go Through to Find True Happiness

We've always been told to do what makes us happy. But, sometimes the people around us don't support that concept. So, this leaves us in a difficult situation. Do we continue to do what we love even if no one supports our decision or do we say goodbye to our happiness and put the happiness of others before our own? This is precisely the inner struggle the main character inBleu Tonnerre is facing.

When we first meet Bruno, he is packing things into his truck. His partner has kicked him out of their home and wants nothing to do with him. To her, he is nothing more than a loser. Although the audience doesn't know what he did to make her upset, this opening scene introduces us to the slow realization Bruno has about his life and happiness. After he is kicked out, he goes to his sister's house to talk about the situation. From this conversation, the audience learns that Bruno's partner was pregnant but the baby passed away. The baby's death, however, helped Bruno find some clarity. He realized the picture perfect life of having a house and children wasn't for him. He was free again and …show more content…

Some of us feel as if we need to follow the unwritten rules of life which include working at a well-paid job, owning a home, getting married and having children. But, there are those who prefer to do what makes them happy and live by their own rules. Those people, like Bruno, feel stuck and miserable when they neglect their happiness. The only time the audience ever saw him happy was when he was back in the ring wresting again. Wrestling gives him a purpose and he doesn't want to lose that. Bruno's inner struggle to find happiness is extremely relatable especially for people who love the arts.
