Behavioural Leadership theory
Behavioural theory of leadership mainly concentrates on the study of behaviour of leaders. As per the behavioural theory ,the behaviour of a leaders is the best indicator for influencing the leadership and it would be the best factor for the leadership achievements. Behavioural theory defines that “ leadership is the behaviour of an individual directing the activities of a group towards a shared goal”(Hemphill, 1957,p.7).Behavioural leadership theory is mainly concentrates in real behaviour of leaders. Behavioural theory states that successful leadership is the outcome of an efficient behaviour of the leader. Success of leadership relies upon the leader’s behaviour and not on his traits. Numerous theories were developed as a variety to a behavioural leadership theory like MacGregor’s model (1960) of theory X and theory Y : describes that how leaders pore on individuals to determine their behaviour .In many of the situations the behavioural theory of leadership and behavioural style was failed to perform so the …show more content…
