Due to the increase of popularity of the interscholastic athletic activities on the past few years, several researches process, recommendation, and manuals have been developed by diverse organizations such as the American college of sports medicine, and the national athletic trainer association. These organizations and their members have been working extensively to develop awareness over the importance of providing high quality medical service which can improve the medical outcome of the patient. At the same time, these organization developed regulations to standardize the medical service offered by the sport medicine team; especially by athletic trainers.

The study tried to analyze the overall of the medical services provided, and at the same time, this study tried to raise the awareness of the legislative bodies of the state to guarantee a safe environment for the student-athletes as a result of the finding. Moreover, in the study it was mentioned the lack of personnel trained to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other first aid procedures during interscholastic activities. First, the athletic trainer was described as
“The health care professional best positioned to provide effective medical care to secondary school student-athletes. Athletic trainers optimize the activity of patients and athletes under the direction of physicians. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment and rehabilitation of emergency, acute and chronic medical conditioning involving impairments, functional limitations and disabilities” (Valovich McLeod, et al., 2013)
Moreover, this study reflected recommendations to improve the health of the student-athletes. In addition, the limitations that this study displayed over the athletic training services were mostly related with the lack of staff, and the medical budget offered by the high school.
