The name I was given by my parents is Felix Zollicoffer. The day what went wrong started off differently. It was similar to a typical day. The sun’s light captured everything in sight like a mother hugging a child and giving it warmth. I rose from my dark oak bed from the unpleasant bites from mosquitoes. I , one of the confederate generals, am proud to say that our side won the battle yesterday. It was a pleasure seeing of my comrades to go and live their own lives. That would explain the surge of energy running through my blood vessels. I started off with my breakfast. Walking to my kitchen made the wood underneath my feet start to creak. The sound of an escaping rat came through. I continued to make breakfast. Fresh eggs from my brown feathered …show more content…

The Union were waiting in a line with their rifles in their hands. The union was ready to strike and start a battle but stayed still. After 30 minutes, every confederate soldier that johnson was able to round up was there. We all were wearing grey just like how the Union were wearing their blue uniforms. I met my friend Robert there in the middle of the crowded soldiers. When Robert met me he was delighted. His face changed as the Union army started the attack. The fight went on for about 7 hours. The place could be compared to a graveyard. The amount of corpse on the ground were uncountable. The place was also full of smoke and bullets flying in the air. Both armies could not see each other. We would get shot from without even realizing where those bullets were coming from. The sky seemed as if it was mad at us so it started crying. The battle field was wet from the tears of the clouds and made everything worse. A while had passed and the smoke started to go away. It was shown that our army was winning for now. I saw Robert and he was still fine but that was not for long. He took a bullet in his upper arm. The expression on his face was of shock and pain unlike anything I have seen before. He collapsed on the ground like pillo hitting the ground. There was no noise coming from him. I knew he was alive because of his heartbeats that showed how his heart was working hard to sustain life. I helped him up and thought of leaving the battlefield to save Robert. Then it came to mind that a general never leaves his army during a battle. It was about 5 min of thinking what I should do. I decided to help Robert get to someone who can take him to safety and then I would return to finish the battle. We got on a near horse. The horse was nothing special. It had the color of red tea very soft and calming. While running through the crowds looking for someone the war became clear. The dead bodies covered the place like blankets and gave me the chills.
