How would you feel if your perfect one hundred was ruined by a 60 you got on a test? Pretty bad right? So, why should you take the test anyways? Let me tell you why. Many schools use standardized testing to evaluate their students but that isn't what they should use to evaluate them. News Flash, some people are really bad at testing, but they may be good at all the other regular assignments given to them. So how should you evaluate your students, and if needed, what should you replace the tests with? You should evaluate your students based on how they behave, and how well they can learn the material needed to be learnt by them. If possible, teachers should not full remove testing. Yes, one is good every once in a while, after a unit is over. But most standardized tests should be replaced with fun, engaging, learning activities. They will both allow students to have fun, and also learn at the same time. …show more content…

Sure, for some students, the testing may seem like a good idea, for their scores may be high, but for other students, why should they have a low score on the test when they score high on all other assignments?
