There are so many students that are very smart, but cannot pass standardized test.How does these test affect the students future. Students walk through hallways having so many thinks in there minds. Kids believe that why do we take so many test when there are not necessary. Teachers are tired of having to do test for finals and helping us get ready for our eocs.My paper is about how we can stop standardize test ,how can we help in not having too many test, and studying too much. In order to understand standardize test person must have some background on the subject. Many people believe that it is good to have test.Also americans believe that it is a waste of money. It also reflects on how the teacher help on explaining the steps. They also believe that staar is better than other test in the past. As popham says “what test takers scores signify”…..(Popham 48).This signifies what the scores mean and how we can make higher scores. The next point is how can we stop in not having to study so much. People believe that students underachivetest.Which means that not everybody takes it seriously. Only 10% of students in middle school passed the science exam. Experts believe that we more time to write the essays. As vison says “educators have often examine the readability of test items”(Visone96).What this means is that higher teachers examine the knowledge of the students taking higher test. The fourth thing is why are standardize test very important? Students that do not pass the staar do not go onto the next grade level. Students also believe that STAAR is a lot harder than TAKS.Also students complain that they do not have enough time to read the passages, write the essay and do the short ansawers.As Dillard says “stakes will be higher, the questions will be tougher”(Dillard1).This tells us that the passages will be alot advance and questions will be more difficult.
