Smoking tobacco using a water pipe, hookah, narghile, shisha, argilla is a global issue especially among adults of young age and adolescents. A water pipe is a stemmed instrument for vaporizing and smoking flavored tobacco in which the vapor or smoke is passed through a water basin which is a glass-based prior to inhalation .
Among adolescents current (water pipe) argilla smoking prevalence is approximately 30% in Estonia , Latvia , and Beirut Lebanon ; 5%–17% of some adolescent populations in the U.S. may be current argilla smokers. Among university students, current argilla tobacco smoking prevalence is 33% in Karachi, Pakistan and 10%–20% in the U.S. Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, New Zealand, and South Africa where availability of data were absent, argilla tobacco smoking’s popularity is demonstrated by businesses that facilitate it in countries .
