Angelica Jauregui, all her life she wanted to help people. She couldn’t imagine doing anything else with her life, now she can do just that. With her RN degree she’s applying at clinics and hospitals to start off her lifelong career as a nurse. Sitting down with her ready to be interviewed she seems relaxed and ready to talk. I’ve known her all my life and she’s always been a role model to all of us in the family. There was nothing she couldn’t do if she set her mind to it. Getting into it, she briefly described on what her career was all about sounding vivid and enthusiastic. I asked her what her career is exactly, to which she said, “RN is an abbreviation for registered nurse, someone who has passed a state nursing license, who knows a large base of knowledge and promotes good health and helps patients.” RN roles can be anywhere from direct patient care, clinical research, and teaching nursing programs. Angelica wants to work in a clinic out of all those options. To her, all she wants is a quiet job and to not stay late at work once she starts a family. …show more content…

But it wasn’t always that way. She recounts her high school days after talking about our theme in English, coming of age. To her, transitioning from the high school life to college was a troublesome experience, “ It was very hard for me. I had to do the extra mile then other women that have the same degree as me. When I was in high school, I didn’t focus …. I had to start at JJC to do the extra math classes and to transfer to St. Francis. Others just went straight to it.
