During the second World War, Kaiser Child Care centers opened from 1943 to 1945 serving women engaged in the war effort and their young children. These centers were opened for 24 hours all year long which allowed women to go to their jobs while keeping their children in a safe place that met with their requirements. Today this perspective is still applied in childcare centers and have sparked the idea that children should feel safe and be safe when being in any type of child care center where the parent or guardian is not present due to the need of them going to work. Teachers in Kaiser Child Care Centers were to be trained in order to provide quality care and education. This idea was also implied by Friedrich Wilhelm Froebel, in his statement
