Introduction Ever heard a bump in the night, or a whisper calling your name when you’re all alone? “The human mind makes up forces and tricks you into certain things” some say… But others think it’s something more , such as the paranormal? There are tons of different dimensions, who knows what’s out there that humans do not know about.
What Is It? There are many kinds of entities said to exist in our universe. It is full of the unknown. There are a few most common and popular entities. First, An Intelligent Haunting: This type of entity usually just wants to communicate. Mostly these entities can be kind and helpful to humans. They just want some kind of attention from the human world. Sometimes the only reason it sticks around is because

A few popular event are, The Amityville Haunting: this story was about a young man named Ronnie Defeo, he lived in the basement of his family’s home. (3 younger siblings and 2 parents) Ronnie claimed that voices were telling him to kill his family in the house. Eventually one night he shot and killed all of them in the house while they were sleeping. He was put into prison. Years later a new family moved into the home and experienced voices and harm caused from “entities” of the house. They eventually moved out of the home because things were getting too bad. Another popular event was, The Conjuring, a family moved into a house , previously owned by a so called evil witch who hung herself in the home. This entity named Bathsheba, and many other entities took over the family and the witch eventually possessed the mother and there was an exorcism performed by Ed and Lorraine Warren (a married paranormal expert couple) on the mother. The family moved out and never returned. There are many more very creepy stories to learn about the paranormal.
Conclusion The paranormal dimension is still very unknown to human life as we know it. There is still very much to discover about it in our universe. However, if the entities are in fact real, they are not a force that should be bothered with. What’s your belief in the
One of my personal favorites is the ghost of Wood Hall. This apparition takes on the image of a little boy. Numbers of Wood Hall girls have seen him. Erica Gray and roommate Ashli Webster deal with this ghost all the time. When asked about the paranormal occurrences in their room, Erica said, "Pretty much every night, he flicks the channels on the TV and turns the lights on and off. Every once in a while he types random shit on the computer... I don't care though as long as he doesn't try to rape me or something. [laughter]" They aren't the only ones who have seen this little boy. I've even had my own instances of cold chills in my 75-degree room, flickering lights, and even a quick glimpse of a child standing at the end of a dark hallway at 3 in the morning.
Was Eleanor mentally healthy or unhealthy? In the book The Haunting of Hill House, written by Shirley Jackson, the main character was Eleanor Vance. She was a 32-year-old woman that showed signs that she was mentally unhealthy. After receiving an invitation to stay at Hill House from Dr. Montague, a stranger to Eleanor and the rest of the invited guests, she made the carefree decision to accept the invitation to the comfortable country home (2). She felt as though Hill House was her calling, even though she had never laid eyes on the property and had no knowledge of what to expect. There was no way to know if the doctor could have been a psychopath that wanted Eleanor for some crazed morbid “experiment,” yet she had
The Amityville Horror, written by Jay Anson was without doubt a great piece of American literature. It has inspired many to write bestselling books, and others to create many excellent movies. Perhaps the most surprising thing about The Amityville Horror is its staying power. There are many possible explanations as to why The Amityville Horror was so popular during the 1970’s and it is no surprise that it is still in print today. The most shocking part of this books history is that it was based on a true story. The story behind the story began on November 13, 1974, when six members of an Amityville, New York, family were killed. This was one of America’s most shocking events during 1974. This is one possible explanation of the popularity of this book. America was changing drastically from 1960-1970 and people were beginning to open their minds to new ideas. One cause of people opening their minds to new things could possibly be explained because of the increased rate of drug usage during this time period. Ther can be many explanations as to why The Amityville Horror was so popular, but the two main causes of the high popularity of this film can only be explained because of what was currently going on in America. The two events in history that may have had the largest impact on this book are the creation of the movie, The Exorcist, and the Vietnam War.
The Haunting of Hill House is a novel about Dr. Montague who was a man intrigued by the supernatural and decided to study hill house. He rents the house and brings along some assistants, one of them being Eleanor. Reflecting on the Haunting of Hill House, I realize that Eleanor going to Hill House means she has “come home” and this brings out amongst other feelings, the feeling of absolute happiness. So as much as Hill House resembles the supernatural for everyone else, it is in fact an insight into Eleanor’s ultimate reality.
Paranormal activity is manifestation that lies outside of the normal experience which can’t be proven to be real. Most people have become interested in the haunted houses and stones due to the lack of support that they are getting from the community of science. The lack of support from the community will be hard to get because most people do not believe in this. According to the unknown, “paranormal activities and sightings usually fall into categories: spirituals entities, crytids, which are organisms whose existence is told by legends and myths.” Most people think that paranormal deal with just ghost and their hauntings but it is much more than that. Paranormal phenomena are not accepted by the scientists because they feel the evidence should be required. According to Psychic Readings, "ESP stands for extra sensory perception. While clairvoyance, or seeing clearly is primarily an optional phenomenon." A clairvoyant psychic is someone who shares a vision of unseen in telling about their health or future. "Clairvoyants are people who specialize in supernatural skills," states Psychics Reading. People like this have a magical ability to see into the past, present, and future. ESP is normally addresses as the sixth sense. "The term 'ESP' was used often in 1870 by Sir Richard Burton." Psychical research does not support that everyone is born with this capability. It is said there are people who have experienced at least one ESP in their lifetime. However to Schmeidler, another theory claims that ESP is a super sense which evolves in the nervous system. From David’s perspective, “hundreds of years ago to possess the gift of clairvoyance, one was considered a witch - as unknown knowledge was 'feared' (the emotion which keeps us trappe...
aranormal activity has been a cause of fear and excitement throughout history. The unknown attracts the curiosity from those who wonder whether the supernatural is real or a figment of the imagination. Ghosts are one of the supernatural beings whose existence is questioned every day. Many want to deny the existence of ghosts because they are terrified of other phantoms who may exist and ignore the evidence that has been brought forth throughout the years. However, ghosts are supernatural pheromones whose existence still impacts today’s society.
Paranormal sightings should be taken into consideration because there could be other things among us, besides humans in this world. I believe there are ghosts because some ghosts get stuck in the middle of heaven and hell. So they don't know where to go, so they just stay here on earth. People have seen ghosts before, but others won't believe until they see it for themselves. Now people have seen sightings of ghosts all over the world.
The Haunting of Hill House is a gothic horror novel written by Shirley Jackson. Supernatural occurrences take place within the house revolving around Eleanor. Eleanor is a thirty-two-year-old woman who never once has felt the sense of inclusion. Eleanor seems to never recall the feeling of delight in her adult years due to the fact that she was a caretaker for her now deceased Mother; who took away most of her freedom by being incredibly restrictive. Dr. Montague, a doctor that specializes in analysis of the supernatural rents Hill House, a supposedly haunted house. During the renting period, Dr. Montague begins an experiment inviting individuals who have had involvement in abnormal events
The teller is 24 years old, and works for the state department of education. Originally, he was from the Baltimore area where he attended an elementary Catholic school. He moved to Bell Air in second grade and grew up there. After his parents separated, he moved back to Baltimore to live with his grandparents, and has remained in Baltimore ever since. The sister he mentions in the story moved away to China years ago. A weekend or two ago, he, I, and a few other friends spent the evening in one of our favorite hang-out spots in Columbia, Pub Dog. It was there, sitting in our dimly lit booth, over some beers that I heard him tell this story from his childhood. He spoke in a strangely matter-of-fact tone, considering the weirdness of the story he was telling, and in a smooth, comfortable manner that seemed to indicate he had told the story many times before. Here is the story he told:
Werewolves are indicated in the paranormal activity. The history of werewolves has been out for a pretty long time and people do not know if the story is a myth or not. The history began in Wisconsin in 1936 as a man encountered a large creature towering over six feet and covered in hair. Werewolves are known as lycanthropes, which are mythological or folkloric people with the ability to shape-shift into a wolf or wolf-like creature (Werewolves in Wisconsin, 2014). Werewolves’ features are like a wolf mix with a man, very hairy, big and strong. Werewolves are shape-shifting creatures with unusual speed, strength, reflexes, a...
The Nelly Butler hauntings is referred to as the first recorded ghost story in American history (LiBrizzi 5), and possibly the most exciting hauntings to date as there are still many unsolved mysteries. The apparition appeared on more than 30 separate occasions to over 100 witnesses in Sullivan, Maine, just over fifteen years after the American Revolution (5-6). Although the Nelly Butler apparition is one of the most convincing ghosts of all time, it was subject to suspicions of fraud. These claims turn out to be groundless as the evidence reveals the ghost to be genuine.
The Most Popular Haunted House On the beautiful autumn day of November 13, 1974, Ronald DeFeo Jr., shot and killed six family members in their beautiful house, in Amityville, New York. That may seem like just another murder committed and solved, but no, this murder caused many paranormal things to happen in what we now call the Amityville Horror House. Honestly, the amount odd and strange things that has happened in that house is just nerve-wrecking. After the murders, even the neighbors wouldn’t step foot into the house, only paranormal investigators would. Christopher Lutz, is a man who grew up in the Amityville Horror House, knows what haunts that place.

Whether we choose to believe in the paranormal or not, we all have to realize that
Most of people outlooks on paranormal activity have come from movies and books (Ghare, 2007). Their outlook makes them question whether or not paranormal activity exist (Ghare, 2007). Modern technology has provided evidence that supports the existence of paranormal activity (Ghare, 2007). Paranormal activity is the ability to see, hear, or communicate with someone who has passed. (Children Experiencing Paranormal Activity, 2014). Paranormal activity also means that a phenomenon that cannot be explained by scientific theories (Ghare, 2007).
