I was fortunate enough to meet Sal through our music class, during a fateful moment where the class was to partner up and work together in an assignment. In my perspective the ending of the song is a resolution to all the various ideas and melodies; although all of the presented concepts initially may have differed, the song blends the unfamiliarity of all the unique elements and presents it as one theme at the end of the song. I don’t know what Sal is going through, but I feel as if the ending of the song would be an appropriate way for him to find tranquility at the end of his path just like the thematic structure of “October”.
