Although phones are a distraction, phones should be allowed in school because students could use them as a fast resource, they can access articles and books online, And this can help \students focus. My first reason why kids should be allowed to access their phones while in school because,as a Student it is sometimes hard to be focused in at the classroom because you’re tired plus the classroom is probably really loud. Many times before i have been really tired or the classroom has been really noisy and i put in some head phones and turned on some music and that’s the best time when i focus. According to www.uloop.com they said “ Kids who listen to music while studying get more out of the study time, And listening to music can help anxiety and depression.” sure listening to music may distract others from work but for the kids who study better with music should be able to, We all know for sure that a lot of people have really bad anxiety and maybe some depression. So if music helps with anxiety, depression, helps you focus, work harder then more teachers need to allow music it helps kids a lot. …show more content…
When you use the dictionary on your phone it saves time. The biggest thing is if a student or someone can’t find a word and it is just stressing them out a lot and they’re getting nothing done. So if they are aloud phones you can just look up the word and it shows the meaning. Know i know students should be able to find words in a dictionary but not everyone is the same, according to https:/:/.ouplet “we should use phones for dictionaries because they’re a lot faster and more efficient.”, sure students can be playing games on their phones but they can also do a lot of research and learn,And students mostly will use dictionaries in English
"Music is the electrical soil in which the spirit lives, thinks and invents." said Beethoven. Throughout time, people have purposely used the powerful effects of music with everyday tasks. Music is thought to be the first form of art to be born, and throughout the long history of humans, it has proved to play an essential part in our lives. There is hardly anyone who has never listened to a song. In the 20th century the Western Scientific Community researched music and the mind. The research supported what we already know from personal experience: Music deeply affects and enhances our learning and living! I believe that iPods/MP3s should be allowed during class at appropriate times (when writing, doing class/home work, etc.) because it benefits the majority of students to focus and stay on task.
Everyone loves to just sit down, pop some ear buds in, and just relax to some tunes. Music feels prodigious, sounds marvelous, and is just the ultimate cushion to have after a lengthy day of work or school. Inarguably, a majority people enjoy doing this. Most schools and other educational facilities prohibit listening to music during study halls. In fact, most schools forbid the use of any electronic device at any time during the day. Students should be able to listen to music in study halls because it relieves the mind of stress, allows students to concentrate, and improves social skills and cooperation.
Music can also easily distract teens because they wanna take out there phone and change it to a song they like or change there playlist and album there listening to but as they're doing that, The teacher is teaching a lesson and when you miss something you will be wondering why you did so bad on your test and wondering why you were so confused when you saw the first answer.
some people may find that listening to music is a disruption to them, it also makes it hard for them to concentrate but for some people it helps them with focusing, remembering, and keeping on task. Many people say that music takes stress off their mind and hearts by focusing on something else, such as work or other things. Music has been shown to help kids with ADD/ADHD to concentrate better on the work that they must do and help keeping their minds off distractions. Many kids have issues at home or social issues at school that may keep them up throughout the night and by listening to music it can keep them up during the day, instead of feeling the need of putting down their heads and taking a quick nap during class. Teachers hate the use of electronic during class because they think that students may be using them to cheat and get answers from a friend more simply and easily.
Allowing students to listen to music during school hours will keep students focused, in a good mood, and improve students’ work. First, allowing students to listen to music during school hours at East Jordan Middle High School will keep young adults focused. To begin, music helps students
Music Needs to be Used More in Schools Music plays a large part in many peoples every day lives, no matter what race or age you are. While music does play a large part in our lives, in schools it can be somewhat controversial. Music is so beneficial to our body and minds but some people don’t believe this and believe that music, aside from exploratory classes like choir and band, should be banned in schools. For some people music is an escape from reality and a way to get rid of stress, with the stress that students are put under in schools, music should be more widely accepted. Not only as a class, but also as a form of therapy and healing to the mind and body.
In a nutshell, here are some academically beneficial aspects of cell phones and other devices. Most modern devices are capable of remembering complex math theorems and are able to note due dates for assignments. My phone has a "Notes" application, where I conveniently store all of my assignments. So, for those of you who are arguing that there is no reason to have a phone in school, how do you think I get absolutely all of my homework assignments done on time? Another aspect that is advantageous in most cell phones are calculator applications. Rather than spending an additional $100 on a fancy Texas Instruments calculator for Trigonometry or Calculus, I am easily able to access an application on my cellphone that allows me to take advantage of all of the functions that any standard calculator is able to use.
Imagine the day when you see your child’s report card, and all you see are As, and you are speechlessly staring at your child’s grades. Are you still waiting for that moment to come when you will be proud of your child for getting good grades? Have you ever wondered why your child has not been able to do well at school? It is possibly because your child has not been exposed to listening to music while studying. Listening to musiccould be the golden solution for your child. Students definitely need to be granted the freedom to listen music during classes. Listening to music while studying helps to keep one’s mind relaxed. It also helps in finishing work faster and in memorization.
Given the unquestionable results regarding the use of cell phones by students in school there should not be a ban on the cell phones in schools. This is because students can learn to enhance their learning from the technology such as the cell phone. Students will also become more independent in their work and more motivated to learn. Students like being permitted to making their own choices.
Cell phones are small and portable yet provide so much to its user with being able to look up anything to calling your parents in case of an emergency or if you need to give them a heads up on something. With the way things are today people need to focus on incorporating cell phones into daily life and finding ways to make them more suitable in a classroom environment. Teachers are already doing this though with using apps that work with the whole class and can track data and usage of a student. It cannot be debated that cell phones are beneficial in school as before cell phones you would have to go to your local library and hopefully find what you are looking for. Cell phones belong in a school environment as they can be helpful and it 's a parent 's right to be able to get ahold of their
If there came a school where there was absolutely no music allowed, the school would burn down in chaos. Some may think that music during school may be distracting and won’t allow the kids to study, but it actually does the exact opposite for most students. Based on this article from St. Viator High School, many people think that music takes stress off their mind by focusing on something else, such as work (“Student’s Thoughts”). It helps the students concentrate, and keep their mind off of distractions. Whether the kids sing or just simply listen to it, there are numerous benefits that come with music. There is no doubt in my mind that if music was banned within this school, the students would be extremely enraged and it would make it difficult
Schools should allow cell phones in schools for children's protection and safety. Secondly, cell phones can keep you connected with your buddies. Instead of screaming, and yelling in the halls to ask your buddy for books, you can simply call them on your cell phone. Some students ask themselves, "If teachers are allowed to use cell phones in class?"... ...
Many earlier studies discussed the use of E-dictionaries and paper-based dictionaries as a learning tool. In a study conducted by Anna Dziemianko (2010), she states that students who used E-dictionaries perform better than those who used paper-based ones. Those who support the use of E-dictionaries think that they are a better learning tool since its use affects students' withholding of meaning and gives higher chances for more effective recovery of learned words. (Dziemianko A. 2010).
Cell phones should not be allowed in school because children focus more on the phone than schoolwork, it creates more drama, and it promotes cheating. Cell phones should not be allowed in schools because kids are always wondering what their friends are doing and what is happening outside of school. If they have access to their phones all day, then they will be glued to them. Phones are more entertaining than a teacher lecturing at the front of the class. Most students will start to zone out, or fall asleep, when a teacher starts a lesson.
First of all, students absolutely should not be permitted to use cell phones during school hours because it is a distraction to other students. This is an issue that plays a huge role on student’s lives because it takes away from their academic education. The s...
