Allied Barton Case Analysis

Allied Barton is a security company where I’m currently interning at. They have a wide range of missions and goals they would like their company to provide. Even if it has just been a month I feel that I have accomplished a great deal of the tasks that they offer to their customers. The mission for Allied Barton depends on the agency they are providing security for. Though I have only witnessed a couple of their companies that Allied Barton offers service to I think that they might be similar. Since I’m stationed in Appleton, their main focus is on Pierce Manufacturing. When I started out they gave me a card that I was told to always carry with me at work. The card has the word great in all capital letters at the top. Great is spelled with the first letters of each of their values. Those being G for growth, which meant to encourage individuals, team, and organizational growth. R for responsibility which is honoring our service commitment to customers, employees, and the community. E for empowerment to offer development programs that enable employees to do their job with skills and confidence. A for achievement being awarded and recognizing service excellence, team success, and individual achievement. Then lastly T for the trust which we have to build in every relationship and interaction. Quickly I realized that most days are the same. Each day starts with paper work and checking to see that I have everything that being the keys for the building and cars that Pierce lease out to employees. Then from there I’m mostly at the front desk, letting people into the building and those who aren’t employees I make them sign in then help them find who or what they are looking for. Which makes it seem as if I’m more of a receptionist than a security guard. Later on, at a certain time I most close and lock the main entrances which depend on the day is usually at 1800. After locking the doors I start my rounds. Personally, I usually go every hour, I complete my shift with normally going on three short rounds and two long rounds throughout the building. When on rounds I must check that there aren’t any problems and I carrying what they call a wand here to connect with certain pinpoints on my round to show where I’ve been during my patrol. But if it 's Friday then I have to turn off all the lights, shut the garage doors, and lock all the doors throughout the building once the employees have all
