In Edward Hughes and Alicia Mann da Silva’s article, they explore the advantages and benefits women who are not able to easily conceive children can receive through participation in an art therapy program. Patients would attend eight weekly art therapy sessions for two hours apiece in a small group setting. An art therapist would then give the group an art directive surrounding a theme of infertility for that week and after the patients had finished their work, they would discuss their piece with others.
