Glasow one said “A good leader takes a little more than his share of the blame, a little less than his share of the credit.” This quote portrays how a leader should not only take credit for achievements but should also take the blames for the issues that may occur. Alexander the Great was a great warrior king since he was smart and scheming based on the abilities he had and what he had achieved. During his thirteen years of leadership he was a great military leader but killed many innocent people along with destroying civilizations. Alexander III the warrior king of Macedon was born in 365 B.C. and died at the age of 32 in 323B.C. This warrior king was a pupil of Aristotle in which he was excellent in using his power and being dominating. …show more content…

Alexander may have conquered a lot of land but he destroyed the Greek city of Thebes as it states, “Alexander destroyed the Greek City of Thebes. While there he destroyed every house in the city, killed all the men, and enslaved 30,000 women and children.” In other words, he didn’t feel sorry due to the fact that, that is what he desired. He wanted to portray himself as the most powerful king as he even destroyed entire cities. In the text it states, “In a moment of careless drunkenness, Alexander ordered the city burned and everyone in it unnecessarily killed.” This quote portrays how he was killing lives of many people for no reason throughout his leadership in which he even ravaged many cities. Killing individuals and destroying cities was not the only goals that Alexander had, he even robbed the tomb of the ruler Cyrus the great which conveys how much greed he had. For example, due to the fact that he created amazing battle strategies he was then considered the greatest military leader. He was also credited with the spread of Greek culture and education throughout his great empire. In other words, in his great leadership he also advanced the Greek education and culture along with his militaristic skills. In addition in the text it reveals, “From an early age he was always an achiever, having always done well with his studies…” This quote portrays that his education was an essential role in his life which made him into a great leader. His fighting forces also proved how strong he was as the text states, “Many died along the way but Alexander managed to maintain great fighting forces…” His great fighting forces also gave him a reputation of leading his men to the battle in an impressive speed.
