Whites had to find out another way to discriminate against blacks, so segregation was made. During the time period blacks and whites were separated from each other. Blacks didn't have as many opportunity because of this action. Adding on to segregation Jim Crow Laws were passed on 1877, legally in the south being able to have racial segregation. Whites took advantage of these laws overtime ending up in full on discrimination. Not allowing blacks in the south do express their newly earned rights in American.
