Chinese Cinderella is one of the most depressing book ever. The book is about how a girl named Adeline's life is it is so stressful for her. Mostly there is a lot of people or animals that die that she loves. Such as PLT and mother Ye Yeand more. I also think it is depressing because she is a hardworker and always gets hurt for something she did or didn't do. Or even didn't mean to do. Adeline's story is depressing because she gets beaten, doesn't get to be with her friends, and her mother died. Every time she comes home from school she will get beaten for something that she did or did not do. One thing that happened was when her mom died then she was born and then they would beat her because they make it her fault that mother had died. Another …show more content…

She's only allowed to play with them at school and no other time she can't even say hi or talk to them if they're in the neighborhood. She is never allowed to go to any of her friends house ever or have them ever come over to her house her else she'll be in big trouble and her parents will hurt her. But one time she got out of it and she went to a birthday party her friend invited her too.She didn't want to look embarrassed of her saying no that she cannot go because she never goes to anything. So she said yes and went to that birthday party. Then she had to go home because Ning thought she was at school and she said to her friend that she will be back for cake and said I will give you my number if you want me to come earlier. When she gets home at her normal time from school to eat lunch Niang think she got home really early does her friends house is right around the corner. Someone called the house phone and my name she said hello and the person on the phone said is Adaline coming back for cake and Niag said no with agree. Then Niag went upstairs to Adeline and hurt her for going to that birthday party and father wiped her .passing because she doesn't get to hang out with any of her friends or do anything with her friend and she gets blamed for mostly
