A Difficult Experience Analysis

Challenges, setbacks, and failures are what I learn from. After one of these situations, I might feel like giving up and it can be difficult to overcome these experiences. I feel that it can affect how I view myself towards the rest of the world. An obstacle I faced that can be fundamental to later success was when I first applied to a top rated high school and failed to get in. My eighth grade teacher had a group of my closest friends and I study as much as we could to help us with the test that was mandatory for us to get in. While we studied the math practice was easy and made me feel comfortable with the assignments. On the other hand, the English portion was not the easiest for me. I was never comfortable with that subject, and I had always struggled with it since I started school. When the day came to take the test at the high school, I was extremely nervous that I would not make it and felt pressured since it was timed. The first day it was the math section, and I knew I could handle it, I just knew that I would pass that portion as this subject is one of my strengths. …show more content…

For some reason when I first got the packet I just felt like giving up. I knew that I was going to mess up and the thought of not passing the test made it worst. As soon as the test began I read and tried to answer as many questions as possible and correctly. After turning in the test I felt like I could have possibly passed. All of my friends and I talked about the test at school and they all said English was the easiest section.
