Hello friends, family, and peers. Today I stand before you not as one voice of eighty, but as eighty voices joining into one. Class of 2022, we made it. On this stage, we are not only graduating, but we are taking our next big step in life. We are about to embark on a new adventure. We are going to face things we have never faced before. The future has so much in store for us. So look around, smile, take it all in. Every test we have studied for, every project we have put countless hours into, every single bit of homework that we have stressed over has landed us at this moment. Teachers, parents, and friends have always told us “reach for the stars” and that “nothing is impossible”. At some point, we may have lost hope in these sayings, but doesn’t matter if they're true or not, it’s whether we have the faith to believe them. There’s no way we could have made it to this stage without them. The teachers of LBMS never gave up on us, even with our eyerolls and excuses. The janitors unlocked our lockers every time we got them jammed. Our amazing Mrs. Ursuliak, Mrs. Perkins, and Mrs. Friend along with the rest of the office staff fixed all the problems we could come up with in the blink of an eye. We owe so much gratitude to the Luther Burbank staff for all of the work they have put in to help everyone succeed, not only in the classroom, in life and in being leaders. They have always had our backs and are continuously inspiring us to stand up and be better people. From that inspiration comes the power for us to inspire.
