What causes domestic violence in teens? Many teens believe that violence is the key to every situation. Teens also believe that if someone disrespects them in any way, or if anyone puts their hands on them that, that means they can fight that person. When in reality you can go to jail for that or someone can sue you for that. Teens in my age group (16-18), also don’t believe in going to ask people for help or even going to tell someone when they’re in trouble. They believe that, that is called snitching when it’s not you’re just helping someone or you’re helping yourself. Also some teens in my age group don’t think you should get in some else’s business when it comes to domestic violence. I believe teens in my age group are hypocrites because they wouldn’t want anyone to get in their business when it comes to things but, they would get in some …show more content…

The main thing that causes domestic violence in teens is the teens. The teens cause domestic violence, because they act so tough like they aren’t afraid of anything, also like they are invincible. They act like that around their friends so they won’t look weak, and so their friends won’t laugh at them. I don’t think that they should do that because, one day something could happen to them. Also some teens may see domestic violence in their homes and, think that is what their supposed to do in any situation, when that’s not what you’re supposed to do. Or if that’s what they grew up around then may do the things they see. But some teens would want to be different if they saw domestic violence in their household they wouldn’t want to do the same things. There are a few things that we as Americans can do to stunt this problem, and it starts with the home. By focusing on the home first, we as Americans can drastically reduce the amount of violent crime committed in the US.
