For many years, women have struggled. Generations ago their struggles lead to insecurity. However, this did not last forever. The women voiced opinion, which was finally heard. Equality started to take place. Men have denied many women and their rights. One of the rights that I will be discussing is a simply woman attending any type of university, college and even institute. “Education is the foundation for civic participation, and schools are formative in shaping how children and young people view themselves and others” (ACLU, n.d., para.1). However, women could not see themselves as anything because they barely had rights. Of course, women wanted to attend school to better themselves and to build the right amount of skills they needed to succeed, but with them being denied an education it was hard for them.

Just because women have rights to continue education does not mean they are fulfilling that right. There are a lot of women who do not have the opportunity in doing so. Due to the expense and not having any opportunities makes it harder. Because of the resources anything is possible. Different state funding and other funds help women earn an education so that they can live a better life and get out of poverty. “Poverty, pregnancy, school-based violence, child marriage and discriminatory gender norms are some of the major obstacles to girls’ education worldwide” (Right to Education Project, n.d., para.2). Situations like this have become a real eye opener. The Right to Education Project helps men and women get into school so they can have an opportunity in earning a great education.
