Parents are a big factor when it comes into play with the kids. They are not getting the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and meats that they need at home. That all goes back as to why the lower class has to settle for the cheap easy meals instead of spending the money to make a nice home cooked meal. There are some families that just cannot do it though. For example, a family of four with two children and an annual income of 22,811 were at the poverty level in 2011. Why do Americans let themselves get this low to the point where they are not going to be able to feed their families? Some of those families let the income and poverty level get the exact same amount, which puts the families in a bad situation. In some cases families can’t even give their families shelter let along a meal three times a day like normal families. Children that come from those kind of families are more at risk to sustain an obese childhood rather than a healthy and normal
