We wish to design a simulator which will allow people of any skill level to learn how to drive in a very safe environment, using real life feel driving simulators. We feel that the current system of Driver's Education could be forever changed. Once this idea has been laid out, the possibilities are virtually endless. We could simply use the devices to create a large-scale Driver's Education company implementing the machines to get people a semi-real feel of driving before they ever sit behind the wheel of a real automobile. We could also aim for a less involved strategy in which we produce and sell the machines to companies and even the general public to be used for entertainment purposes. This would not be the first of its kind; there are plenty of videogame simulators out there, but with the newest technology in video simulators as well as amusement park ride simulators combined for a very real to life experience we think that we would have found a true niche and could be quit successful.
i) Industry Analysis: The
A Modest Proposal For Making Driving More Entertaining, While Creating The Same Risks For Everyone On The Road
The National Hockey League (NHL) is one of the most popular sports in the United States. The professional sports industry is based on profit, competition, and growth. This industry which includes, baseball, football, basketball and hockey has the ability to generate approximately $8 billion in revenues annually. This revenue is generated from, ticket profits, media revenues, licensing fees for names and logos, merchandising revenues, endorsements, luxury sky boxes, parking fees, and concessions. One famous hockey team is the New York Islander’s (NYI), who became the dominant team after winning the 1983 finals. Their fame quickly diminished in 1984 when they lost the Stanley cup finals against Edmonton Oilers, four games to one. The Islanders have not won another title since that time which resulted the team to enter a slump that would be difficult to recover from as fan attendance and sales began to decrease for the team. With fans on their last legs the New York Islander’s management team must attempt to pull this team from the miserable slump they are in. Management must develop a...
Imagine having your life flash before your eyes while you were still wearing diapers. And imagine having a hot hunk of metal crash into you and shatter your sense of everything. When I was just three years old, I was the victim of a very scary car accident. While waiting to make a turn into my nursery school, my mom’s car was rear-ended by a car driving at 50 miles per hour. I remember how incredibly loud the collision was and even how the windows seemed to shiver in their rubber holders. Seeing my mom's head fly back and feeling the car swerve into the opposing traffic, I thought I was going to die. And why did this happen? Because the person driving behind us was texting on her phone and was not focused on the road. All of this, the emotional, physical, and financial damage, and the possibility of losing my mom's or my own life, could have been prevented if the car behind us was a driverless car. Briefly, a driverless car is capable of driving itself via an intricate system of cameras, sensors and computers. I propose that human drivers should be replaced with driverless cars because driverless cars are safer and more efficient.
Drunk driving, sleeping at the wheel, and loss of control of a vehicle could be a thing of the past when it comes to new innovations being made towards self-driving cars. When one thinks of a “self-driving” car, it means not having to pay attention to the actual driving and going about putting make-up on or playing on your phone while the car takes you where you want to go, sounds completely sci-fi, but it is likely to happen in the near future. With advances in technology, the car is able to use satellites, cameras, and sensors to take the driver where he or she needs to go. Many companies are researching, manufacturing, and testing different
... look out for high profile contacts and good image building activities especially due to the on going outsourcing concern. As community theatre boards include executive level staff these consulting companies could get high visibility and a sophisticated image by pairing up with something as ?cultured? as theatre. These companies can be requested by the boards of community theaters to sponsor the building and maintenance of the theatre websites in exchange for good PR and contacts.
There will be a day when driving will not require a license. Children will be traveling on their own, teens will be texting while driving, adults will be doing their jobs while driving, and the elderly who are visually or physically impaired will be able to transport themselves (Symonds). This will be made possible through new technological car advancements that will enable a car to be driverless. With technology increasing exponentially, and our everyday lives getting busier and busier, we need a solution. Weeks of productivity are lost each year by Americans (Pollette). Driverless cars will cause this issue to vanish by reducing delays and smoothing traffic flow (Winston). Most technology will have flaws, and this is also true for driverless cars’ technology. Improvements are being made to enhance the car (Pollette), but accidents will still take place. Despite the flaws, driverless cars will make trips shorter, and when trips are long, we will be able to multitask.
While the technologies in this film were regarded not to invent in the real world fifteen years ago, some technologies already exist today. For example, Tesla employs semi-autopilot driving system
Companies like Google, Tesla and Nissan, among others, have announced over the past few years that their companies are trying to develop self-driving or autonomous cars [Ref. 1 and 2]. Self-driving cars can provide many benefits to the average consumer. Studies have shown that because computers can react and process information many times faster than a human being, crashes on streets and roads can be decreased with quick and consistent evasion maneuvers by the autonomous car. They can also help maximize fuel economy by calculating the most direct and fastest routes. When the driving of an autonomous car demonstrates that the computer can safely and reliably transport the passengers to their destination, this frees up the passengers to do other things that they would not normally be able to do if they were driving the car manually. For this reason, self-driving cars can help maximize productivity of their passengers.
Self-driving cars are the wave of the future. There is much debate regarding the impact a self-driving car will have on our society and economy. Some experts believe fully autonomous vehicles will be on the road in the next 5-10 years (Anderson). This means a vehicle will be able to drive on the road without a driver or any passengers. Like any groundbreaking technology, there is a fear of the unforeseen problems. Therefore, there will need to be extensive testing before anyone can feel safe with a vehicle of this style on the road. It will also take time for this type of technology to become financially accessible to the masses, but again alike any technology with time it should be possible. Once the safety concern has been fully addressed
Global and domestic marketing has expanded very rapidly during the last fifteen years in my organization. In the 90's when my company was in a climate of low economic growth, the company saw international markets as a potential vehicle for profit growth. Global and domestic marketing is becoming of ever-greater importance to more and more company and organizations around the world.
These technologies have made driving an easier and enjoyable experience, as well as reducing our chances of getting into accidents. The research presented in the following article “Driven to Distraction [in car technology]” provided surprising conclusions. Professor John D. Lee from the University of Iowa states the following issue: “Technology is changing very quickly. Many of these things coming into the car were not designed to be used in it. ”(Edwards 8).
I have chosen the market research because it is the very first step of most economical process. Philip Kotler (1994) define the marketing research as
Marketing is a fundamental aspect of all businesses, whether they are set out to make a profit, or charitable organisations - they will have to carry out marketing research of some description. It has been described as being, “the management process responsible for identifying, anticipating and satisfying customer requirements profitably.” (Chartered Institute of Marketing) This essay will explore the role of marketing in a marketing oriented business and different aspects of the external environment that a smartphone company should be aware of. The points raised throughout will be supported using relevant journals, textbooks and newspaper articles.
Before taking this course, marketing was all about product and the promotion of that product. I took a marketing course during my undergrad about 7 years ago that emphasized the 4 P’s. Building a strategy around promoting a product and/or service seemed to be the most fundamental concept of marketing to me. My narrow thinking soon changed after going into the workforce and after taking this course. Marketing is more than just telling potential and current consumers about your products and why they should buy it. Marketing truly encompasses all areas of business. A great marketing strategy needs to focus on all the new strategic marketing elements of positioning, product, logistics, price, integrated marketing communications, and service. It’s
Too often, a marketing function is misunderstood, because many people do not understand what is meant by ‘Marketing’.
