Have you ever wondered how the light bulb works? Do you know the genius brain behind the creation of the light bulb? It is a simple but really useful thing that can help us to pass our daily life. Edison is the man. He is one of the greatest inventors in the history. His creation had changed the world a long time ago. He was known to be one of the people with the most perseverance and patience. The light bulb we know today is one of his greatest and most influential inventions. Without his perseverance and patience, he won’t be as successful as the world knows him today. The light bulb he invented helps us see in the dark.
Edison was born on February 11, 1847 in Milan, Ohio. In his early life, Edison was known as a poorly educated student. He can’t answer question given by the teacher when his entire classmate are able to answer. One of his teachers called him addled; consequently, Edison’s mother got so mad and brings him out of the school. Edison’s mother, Nancy, took charge of him and teaches him at home. Edison was fond on chemistry and electronics. Knowing that, Edison’s mother supports him and bought him books. From the books he read, Edison does some experiment at his home. Without the help of his mother, he can’t invent the light bulb we know today. This is one of his quote intended to his mother "My mother was the making of me. She was so true, so sure of me, and I felt I had someone to live for, someone I must not disappoint”, can be found on the Brainy Quote web site. The quote tells us that Edison is really grateful to his mother. Without her, maybe he wouldn’t be successful. Because his mother has support him, Edison didn’t want to disappoint his mother.
