Judgment is one of the cruelest thing humanity have ever created and are known to lead to the death of one or the suffering of a certain group. They are labels that can be used to mark and defined by the individual. In the label eulogy, “ One Moment After Another” by BaoVy Ngo, aim to put the label “RBF” to rest and move on from the pain it brought her in the past. The purpose of this rhetorical analysis is to examine PAPTC of the author’s eulogy, as a reader. Further, I will be more descriptive while concentrating on the document within my analysis.
The eulogy of RBF, Resting Bitch Face, present two main purposes of the documents. This way is demonstrating on the effect that RBF has on the writer and force to move away from it. The first purpose, the author portrays the label as an inspiration. As described, RBF has given the writer “more reason to become stronger and more of who I am”. Through her knowledge of the “social liking”, she considered RBF as a role model where she was not afraid to be herself around others. This indicate her faith and comfort that she find in RBF. The second purpose, the author explain the need to abandon the label. She has mention that it has “ruin my friendship and trust with others” which lead her feeling “furious and depressed”. The author has previously forced to deal with many backlashes throughout her youth and it causing her to confront the truth. As it has given her “loyal and great friends” she may want to reconcile with them by letting them understanding her scar. Throughout the letter, she has inputted more positive side of the story rather than negative and it has identified that she wanted the attendee, those who previously hurt her, to recognize and realize what they did to her did not put her down but only made her stronger and a more independent
