I am lucky enough to say I have just accepted an internship offer not too long ago. The company I just accepted is called VWR, a publicly traded company dealing with the distribution of research laboratory equipment. For my sales internship, I go into research labs, introducing the people in the labs with new products that will either save them money, save them time, or make life easier when doing work. I also handle a lot of the administrative work such as getting pricing for clients and handling calls a client might have.
This all started with a simple email I received in December. Normally I would disregard any job offer through an email, but something about this email felt like it was personally written, rather than a mass email. After doing some research and building the courage respond, I relied saying I was interest. To my surprise, I received a response within a matter of minutes describing the requirements and qualifications. The person I was talking to was the sales representative for a region in Colorado, her name is Stephanie Hastings, and she would be the person I work under. It would be in her interest to be apart of the recruiting processes since the person that would get hired for to this internship will work closely to her. I found out later that I was recommended through a reference that mentioned I would be a good fit for the job.
The first step into the job offer was establishing credentials, I did this by sending a proper cover letter, and a resume. For the cover letter, I did research to get an understanding of the company culture and learn the history of the company. I detailed in the cover letter about my interest as well as the knowledge I obtained from my research. At this point I was considered a possi...

...as the new product the was introduced not too long ago. At this meeting I had a chance to meet with other interns too, this would great for me because they also came from CU Boulder and I got the opportunity to ask how they thought of the job, and find out what is and is not working for them. It’s a way for me to get some reassurance that I made the right decision. I realize with this job, I was encourage to have work independence and autonomy.
Overall I found that my experience with the hiring process is very similar to what we have learned in class. Before this course, I would have never realized how how important for a company to assess the culture fit of the hiring candidates. I realize now, that this cultural fit closely ties with the success of the prospect. The more they fit in, the more they enjoy it, which translate into higher production and satisfaction.

Racism Is Not Too Long Ago Essay

- ... "She looks just like my Chinese granddaughter." - This implies that all Asians look alike. I mean, really, if you are not Asian this is just going to sound racist. So, regardless of whether you really think they look alike you shouldn 't say it. "I 've always wanted an Asian baby!" - Ew. It 's like saying, "I 've always wanted a Great Dane!" or, "I 've always wanted a Kate Spade!" except that you are talking about a human--not a dog or a purse. By comparing and contrasting these great scholars, science made more sense to me. In 1995 J.
