The beats brand has a history of excellent marketing strategies for having the USA Basketball team wearing these headsets in the Olympics to having artist such as Lil Wayne endorse their products. The only downside is they have a history of targeting either athletes or music lovers. When you look back on the multiple beats advertisements you see many people who are much-publicized such as; Justin Bieber, Lady GaGa, Kobe Bryant and the list can go on. Anyhow what happened to a stay at home mom or a bona fide husband? The beats brand doesn’t focus on these viewers, they typically target modernistic audiences. At the same time the brand is now partnered with Apple and we can see revenue come in since the headphones can be seen somewhat as a package deal with these smart phones. Another trend we’re starting to see by the Apple deal is how they are displaying both devices together in the ads by using the iPhone 's front camera to take selfies and celebrities are being seen wearing these beats headphones in the pictures. Sells may fluctuate with that idea but regardless the brands sells will eventually take a hit. From the beginning the brand has emphasized so much on the sports world and music they strayed away from typical citizens who aren’t into sports and the music of this era.
