The word rapture does not appear in the Bible, simply it is a term often employed in concurrence with events relating to the Second Coming of Jesus. The meaning or definition of rapture is the mind that the coming of Jesus will take space in two separate phases. The initiative will be a secret rapture—or taking away of the saved to heaven—at the start of a seven-year period of visitation, during which the antichrist will come out. The second phase occurs at the close of this time of tribulation when Jesus will come back to Earth in triumph and glorification. After His resurrection, Jesus returned to heaven, and the disciples watched as He went up into the sky. The Bible states, “While they (the disciples) watched, He (Jesus) was packed up, and a cloud received Him out of their mess. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men (angels) stood by them in white apparel, who also said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into paradise? This same Jesus, who was studied up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner every bit you saw Him go into heaven’ (Acts 1:9-11, NKJV). I will show you why the Rapture is an event that we, as believers, should be anticipating and watching for, as it parallels that of an ancient Jewish bride waiting for her bridegroom's return for her. The Rapture of the church will be the event in which Jesus will remove the church from the Earth before God pours out His impending judgment of great tribulation. The timing of the Rapture in relation to the onset of the seven years of great tribulation is controversial. There are three primary points of view as to the timing of each. The Pre-Tribulation view is that the Rapture occurs before the tribulation period starts. The Mid-Tribulation view is that the Rapture occurs during the middle of the tribulation at the 3 1/2 year mark. The Post-Tribulation view is that the Rapture does not occur until after the seven years of tribulation. Apocalypse Now helps to reiterate the public perception that the Vietnam War was a directionless, pointless war. The movie reflected the overall feeling of confusion about the war. Then there will be a time of great affliction and destruction upon on the earth. The view on whether Christ will physically reign on the earth for a thousand year is known as the millennium. Two theories are as follows: Christ will come and remove the church before the tribulation is pre-tribulation. The strongest evidence in the bible that supports the pre-tribulation view and the rapture of the saints is the biblical doctrine that Jesus Christ will return for the saints before the 7-years Tribulation periods. Matthew 24:44, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” And Luke 12:40, “Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.” Anything other than a Pre-tribulation Rapture predicts the Rapture, telling us that it will be unpredictable, imminent, without warning, and will be visible only to the saints.
The war between the Christ versus antichrist has been commencing for generations with tides of people churning and numbers fluctuating inconsistently back and forth. Who is to say what is considered holy or unholy? How is anyone to expand so far to say that many persons of God’s creation are of the antichrist? Upon Jesus’ return after being crucified, he walked on the water towards his disciples. The disciples erroneously believed he was a ghost. Revealing himself to them he told them not to be afraid. Peter, being impetuous, told Jesus to prove it was him by calling Peter to come to him on the water. Jesus indulges Peter and calls him to come to him. Beginning to walk on the water towards the Son of God, Peter becomes afraid and starts to sink, calling to be saved. Jesus Christ was the light that came to earth to brighten the lives of the people. He taught phenomenal and meaningful lessons that changed many hearts and caused people to accept Jesus as their Lord. Jesus Christ is the life of Christianity; the Word of God in flesh. His life, his ministry, and his crucifixion where prophesied long before he was born and Christians believe that they were all fulfilled. He had so much love for human kind that he came to earth to die for the sins of the people, so that their souls would be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
