France and America are both allies of one another, and both beautiful countries that most people want to visit and mark off their bucket list; from the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, National Parks, and French cuisine, no wonder people want to visit, when comparing France and America, it seems as only a few select things are all they have in common; the two don’t have much alike and are vastly different. The two also differ in fashion, food, romance, and more, but this all leads to the intriguing and differing experience it has for its people.

But on a smaller scale. (Take box with the Mona Lisa and The Eiffel Tower to the center table. Take out only the Mona Lisa and set box under the table. Walk ahead of students to show them the way and stand behind the table while they stand in front so they can see) This is The Louvre, the largest museum worldwide. There is a lot of history behind this that makes this such a special landmark here in Paris. The Louvre is home to the famous painting “Mona Lisa.” (Point hand toward painting) All the painter Leonardo da Vinci did was create a half length portrait of a young lady and now it has turned into the best known painting ever. The Louvre is beautiful. As you walk into the museum you walk into a massive triangular pyramid made of glass clear as can be. This pyramid is almost surrounded by a very historic and detailed building which holds every piece of work held inside this museum. The Louvre museum is a beauty, but now I’m going to show you the uttermost famous structure in Paris, The Eiffel Tower. (Fourth Slide. Move over to next table to the left of the center table. Take out the Eiffel Tower from the box and set box under the table.) Walk ahead of students to show them the way and stand behind the table while they stand in front so they can see) The Eiffel Tour, or as you say in French La Tour Eiffel, is visited by about 6.9 million people each and every year. This amazing piece of work was designed by two architects, Gustave Eiffel and Stephen Sauvestre. They made this piece of work using all iron. They did this considering they had some knowledge from working with iron and it was on the cheaper side back then. That’s how they did it, but you might ask why. These include beautiful beaches and a variety of magnificent landmarks. It sits at the centre of most tourists‘ wish-list of countries to visit in the world. The French are all about preserving their culture and being individualized. They often take great pride in the French products and the French style, and believe in keeping the French culture “pure” so they also limit the amount of foreign goods that are being imported. But during the World Wars the French began to allow foreigners to immigrate into France to take jobs due to an increase in job shortages. The immigration from the World Wars added to the diversity of the French culture. Ever since the 1850’s there has been a steady flow of immigration into France, and now nine percent of the French population is made up of immigrants (Gofen 62). The break down of the cultures in France is eighty-five percent of the French population is Roman Catholic, eight percent Muslim, two percent Protestants, and one percent Jewish. From 1801-1905, Roman Catholicism was the man religion in France and bishops and priests were being paid by the government to be state officials. But this was broken in 1905 (“France” 460). The current debate in France is the banning of religious symbols in public school systems. An example of a religious symbol being banned is headscarves. Headscarves have been banned since 2004, but the French do not allow ANY religious symbols in public school systems (“In Knots”) France should not continue to ban the wearing of religious symbols in public school systems because since the World Wars France began to allow foreigners to immigrate into France, in the United States there are no laws restricting the wearing of religious symbols, and important French figures have had foreign parents.
It is the economic effects of tourism which bring the most benefit to the host nation. Tourism is a low import user which means more of the money earned here stays here. The government is earning money through tourist taxes such as the airport tax, increased export earnings and income tax revenue from people employed by the industry. A balance must be struck between these benefits and associated negative impacts on the community and the environment.

The reason I want to visit Paris is because of how wonderful it looks. The reason I want to go to Paris is because I would love to see all the scenery of different place. Another reason I would like to go see Paris is because it would be my first time leaving the country and I think that would be awesome.
